East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

It irked the Macedonian king to no end that the fellow seated before him was naively under the sway of thought that Alexander could be forced to do anything that he didn't chose to do on his own. He had visited the ring of mismatch Dark Hunters because of his curiousness and once satisfied left only because it was unbeneficial to exact his revenge upon his foe within the midst of his allies when Alexander himself had no one at his back. He sat comfortably within the plush chair because he had been on his feet quite literally since the sun had peaked over the horizon. If there was anything that could be said of Alexander, it was that he was entirely stubborn and unyielding. The more impossible a task in front of him was deemed to be, the more he strove to overcome it - and he had yet to fail once. Still, the strategic man knew all too well the clear, probing tactics in front of him. It was quite nearly child's play - the man's blatant effort to poke and prod at that far too strong exterior of placidity. Beneath that smooth surface, however, was the beginnings of a raging storm. The Dark Hunter said nothing of the man's efforts to "train" him in whatever fashion, instead simply nestling into the tall arm chair with a soft sigh.

Regardless of his annoyance, his blue-green gaze shifted with a small gesture of inquisitiveness at the ivory haired man. Although his identity was largely a 'secret' to the general public, Alexander would hardly say it was carefully guarded. It was one of those things he simply lacked to say rather then held closely. After all, few people would believe the truth of who he was if he did bother to voice it in any particular detail. He should have been dead thousands of years ago - although, the scholars continued confusion regarding the mystery surrounding his death continued to amuse him. "I preferred King Alexander, 'the Great' came after." He responded, despite the past tense of his wording. His kingdom had come and gone, his feats as a hunter were veiled from the public's eyes. The wars he'd started and ended, the massacre's he had led. After his death, history had been encouraged to overlook his continued presence. "The 'trinkets', as you call them, belong to my family. Those from the lands I conquered are in warehouses. They're too valuable to leave out." Alexander responded with the briefest of shrugs, hardly hesitating to admit who and what he was. He took what he wanted - he always had. It was a habit that allowed him a life that others could only dream of, if he wanted it.

He listened in silence as his command to know exactly what Frost wanted was met with a rather chiding voice. "Bessus caused the death of hundreds. Lives I swore to protect. You don't build a reputation for going back on your word." Alexander responded smoothly to the accusations thrown within his direction, there was a kind of certainty to his tone, a resoluteness from his days long past. "Still - I fail to see why I might need you in any regard. I know where he is, it's not difficult to wait till he slips away from the hunting party. Why would i waste my time with your lost bauble." Unfortunately for Frost, Alexander had centuries to perfect working alone, even if he excelled upon leading the masses. His days of a hunter had expelled him from the social life he'd once known and loved and regrettably, Alexander had been forced to adapt. The king was hardly surprised, however, to find them returning back to the topic of who he was. Those few that knew his identity had often had a hard time digesting it, pelting him with questions till he'd had enough. This was hardly any different for him.

A small shrug crossed his shoulders, "I was called the King of Asian for a reason. A title that Bessus was remiss to have. Sadly, he was lost to history too without a single kingship under his reign. It frustrates him." There was a small wisp of a simper upon the man's features, a satisfaction that he was able to rob someone else of this. "The stories are, in general, true. Many details did not make it through the years and even more were lost. Bucephalus was a magnificent steed. I'm not yet convinced you're even half of what he was." Alexander added his own jibe to the man, entirely willing to set the bar high. After all, Bucephalus had been faithful, loyal, and fearless. They were traits that Alexander hardly saw mirrored within the were creature in front of him.
