East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

My Own Form Of CHAOS

I haven't decided if I'm happy about coming to Sacrosanct or not. The city is always alive and there's plenty here to keep me entertained but is it better than my home town? I just haven't decided. I've met quite a lot of colorful characters here in the city. There's the human, Isolt, and those Weres, Raven and Tobias. There's the human, Isla, and the vampires Ceara and Risque. All original in their own ways and yet all new additions to my acquaintances. I know that I'm not easy to befriend and I'm definitely not the type you want to trust but I can at least try to do good deeds....sometimes.

I throw on a black tshirt and torn jeans, ready to hit the streets. I've come to like the old fashioned mansion I found and made into a home. The elderly couple was more than happy to part with it for the funds I offered. I think I gave them more than their mortgage payments in a year on the place. Within a day, I'd cleaned it top to bottom and redesigned everything to be more my taste. The wine basement is full and the decanters have my favorite brand of bourbon in them. I look at my handiwork and decide it's time to go out into the streets and enjoy myself. The air is alive as always with people milling around and kids playing in the streets.

There seems to be a festival or something going on. I smirk as a kid runs by and grabs a piece of bread off a vender's booth. The vendor, a tall broad man with long black hair, yells at the boy and takes off after him and the boy's friends run up behind to grab a handful of bread and run off in the opposite direction. I chuckle under my breath. Kids. Heading down a well lit street, I make out a delicate figure sitting on a bench. A woman in purple dress with long black gloves. I didn't think people wore those kinds of gloves anymore, not anyone from this century anyway. Tilting my head, I stride over and lean against a post by the bench, looking off into the crowd.

"What brings a damsel like yourself out on a night like tonight? Looking to win a prize or a teddy bear?"
