East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

The Dark Hunter's blue-green gaze remained unwavering upon the youthful vampire, watching as her once soft simper grew into a radiant smile at his approach. Her perhaps joyous demeanor had an infectiousness about it, causing his own lips to twist and contort into a rather rare display of a returned smile. He could feel the weight of her fingertips within his gloved hand as he led her towards the dance floor before gingerly turning her to face him. Her shy whisper was hardly ignored, however, and softly he responded in an almost teasing fashion, "You didn't run away from me this time." It was the sensation of the barest of touches against the cloth on his shoulder that momentarily drew his gaze away from the young woman, his blue-green eyes narrowing ever so slightly at the appearance of the particularly stubborn were-horse. The last thing he wanted to do was to make some effort to explain his own relationship with the fellow, much less allow him to spend any extended amount of time with the demure female at his side. If there was any personality trait that Alexander had gleaned from those moments the pair had spent together it was that the equine creature was hardly affable on most days.

Still, Alexander was hardly oblivious to the fashion at which Frost had regarded him, much less the way in which he had called to Alexis by name. It was clear the pair knew each other though why such a tender creature was hanging around with the likes of him still remained to be seen. Nevertheless, the Macedonian man nodded ever so slightly, releasing the young woman from his grasp as his lips pressed together in a fashion of distaste. He drifted from the dance floor, allowing the duo to continue their dance without his intervention. Despite his absence, however, his blue-green gaze remained steadfast upon the pair, unconsciously reaching out to pull one glove slowly from his fingertips. He watched as Frost placed his hand upon the girl's waist, drawing her closer towards him in a fashion that while it might be acceptable for dancing, was another matter for Alexander himself. It was perhaps simply because he knew all too well the girl's emotions from cafe not too long ago - those fears of rejection, the surprise, the anticipation, the desire. Jealousy was never an emotion that Alexander wore well. Though in history he had not been known for being particularly loyal (monogamy was quite the foreign thing for his particular social status), he had never been one to share his interests either.

Still, regardless of the emotions that flittered across that usually smooth surface, by the time that the song had ended and the duo of weres returned to side, Alexander had returned to that same poised solidity. After all, he knew well of such powers the were-steed wielded and hardly wished to allow him the satisfaction of knowing the increasingly growing hole in his otherwise impenetrable wall. He refused to provide the steed with any fuel he might be capable of utilizing within their next war of wills. "So I see." The words fall flatly from his lips, his gaze only briefly skirting over the girl to ensure that she was indeed in the same condition that she had left him within. He hardly reached out to Alexis though, fully allowing her to linger wherever she saw fit. Alexander's eyebrows rose ever so slightly at Frost's mention that the two had been working together, though on what he could hardly begin to imagine. It wasn't within him to question it though, not when Frost was clearly so veiled within the first place. The notion, however, that he and Frost had engaged within some sort of friendship was another matter entirely, a soft snort leaving the male's nose and yet he hardly corrected the term. "Friend." He mutted beneath his breath before turning his attention towards the inquiry at hand. "Alexis is my barista-in-training." Momentarily, his gaze shifted towards the female, letting her expand upon their relationship however she saw fit.
