The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

that everything looked this blue through Sinatra's eyes. The glow of the morning sun against the towering skyscrapers and dull gray and black hues of the city street was intense. It licked away the grayscale, illuminating the worn concrete buildings in a bright orange glow. Eleanor took note of the shadows of the buildings as they slanted further to the right as the sun continued its descent, rising higher and higher into the sky and awakening the city. She had watched the sunrise hurriedly as she scurried her way down the street, looking for that coffee shop around the corner. Time was running out to get to the cafe before the morning rush. It was was midweek, wasn't it? Soon the suits would come out to play, scurrying off with their briefcases and breakfast sandwiches and plug themselves into those cubicles in the towers under the florescent lights, and refuse to move for 8 hours at a time. The way of this world absolutely fascinated her, and suddenly her mind was alive with the framework of her next piece. She was so captivated by the robotic features of a Jon Hamm-esque man she'd crafted in her mind - in the hue of black and white of course - that she found herself still etching out the details of it in her mind when next think you know, she's waiting in line inside the shop. She was brought back to reality by the pitter-patter of rain drops, a sudden rush of them overtaking the streets and beating down on the glass windows and doors of the shop. A thin, dark eyebrow raised as she looked back, somewhat alarmed, by the onslaught of the storm. Just a second ago the sun was rising. She could have sworn there wasn't a cloud in the sky. But when you live in a city like Sacrosanct, anything is possible. The fae breathed a sigh of annoyance, the exhaustion from a sleepless night weighing heavily upon her. Eleanor's stomach growled and she thought of coffee again, the rich aroma of the dark earth-colored liquid waiting for her just beyond the stand. She clutched her warm cup in her hands after handing over a few crumpled bills from her pocket to the cheery barista. Eleanor didn't smile when she walked away from the counter. Her thoughts were back on the rain again, as puddles collected on the sidewalk and in the streets. The morning rush of people began to stream in, umbrellas and scowls from wet hair and damp suits on their faces. She smirked for a second, enjoying seeing them so agitated, before turning to find a seat and wait out the storm. That's when she saw her, a peculiar blonde, etching tirelessly on a piece of paper spread out in front of her. She wasn't dressed to a tee like the rest of them. She was here just to be here. Like Eleanor. Eleanor was never any good at social cues and etiquette. So when the girl started talking to herself, Eleanor felt compelled to respond. "No. Don't stop. Don't stop." She said with a playful, wiry grin across her face and in a seductive tone too reminiscent of the women in her porno tapes. Of course, Eleanor was hoping to get a rise out of this stranger here. The petite fae then leaned over the table on her tippy toes, eyes wide as she took in what it was that she was drawing. As she recoiled, she studied the face of this stranger for a long time. "Seriously, don't." She said with a wink. "It's not half bad." With that, Eleanor took a sip from her mug and slid into the booth seat across from her. "So that's me you're trying to draw right?" She asked, her gaze falling down to the paper again. "My ass isn't nearly that plump." Eleanor | Fairy | Vinyl |
