The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Briefly Nadya wondered, as she watched Samantha toss back another shot making them equal now, where the blonde's threshold for alcohol was. It seemed like both the women would need the liquid courage to get through this. Nadya settling into the chair was rather stiff as the conflictions of emotions began making her pacing and fight instinct a struggle to overpower. Samantha's lyrics though were...intriguing to say the least, a certain tone to her voice that caused Nadya to raise her gaze to the woman and lift a brow in amusement. It was a defiant and confident tone not usual for the fae but one that Nadya found herself pleased to hear. Her attention drifted down to the paper Samantha handed her. "I hope your new powers will help you then. Paper ...handling paper is different than handling people." Nadya hadn't gotten where she was with her business without knowing how to handle people, navigating all the facets of faces needed. A business was only a small comparison to running a pack...a monarchy. Rules and hierarchy amongst themselves as well as compared to relations with other monarchies and leaders that resided in the city. Of course all of Nadya's skepticism was out of concern. She had a certain care for the woman that Nadya didn't want to see her hurt or take on more than she was prepared. "I just hope you thought about it. Being the one to answer for everything long term is different than shuffling papers behind a desk for a few weeks." Nadya released the paper back into its pile.
Nadya's concern wasn't just for Sam but for her own pack as well, her brother, whom had already been dealt a short hand. The last thing she wanted was to see the responsibilities of a monarchy to pull the couple apart. "Aiden is Alpha and that comes with responsibilities and having a monarchy comes with a lot of responsibilities too. They are different worlds, different laws-..." Though she wouldn't get to finish her explanation as Samantha's anger seemed to well and snap. Perhaps Sam was an angry drunk. That would be a rather sad fact. She didn't move from her seated position at first, watching Samantha stand with a mixed expression of surprise and amusement as she made demands of Nadya. It was only when the sensitive Were felt the prickle about them that she stood. It was too late though for Nadya to say anything to calm the distraught fae. The glass around them exploded into a millions pieces and from multiple directions.
Nadya was afforded only time on the Ark in order to practice and perfect her abilities until she was able to unleash them repeatedly and with such smooth ease rotating between them as rapid as gunfire. So it only took the moment that Nadya heard the sound that her abilities flared up in reflex to defend. The gravity power that she yielded unleashed around first the glass upon the desk then the glass of the window. The glass of the mirror was ignored seeing as the distance wasn't enough to seriously harm them. However, the blink of an eye difference of time between the gravity shoving the glass shards down on the desk to dropping the shards from the window was too slow. A few pieces of glass were able to slice thin slivers on Sam's arm and one across her cheek before dropping with the rest of the glass to the floor.
"You broke the vodka..." Yes, that was what she was sad about...not her mirror and not the now gaping hole in her office wall where the window had been but the expensive clear liquid that pooled across the wood desktop to drip mockingly onto the hardwood floor below. It was Nadya's turn to pinch the bridge of her nose to compose her thoughts before looking back into Sam's startled gaze, noting her thin sliced injuries. "I think it goes without saying but you may want to avoid shouting." Carefully Nadya braced one hand onto the desk to lean over and take Sam's hand. Briefly Nadya's lips connected with the fae's hand, allowing her healing ability to wipe away Sam's cuts with the kiss before releasing her. "I just need to know that you'll be there for him. If you left then I couldn't...wouldn't...leave him alone. If you're there, then, maybe...maybe I could explore another...option." It was hard to find a way to explain just what was going on within her mind. Nadya didn't know how or to what extent to tell Sam about her thoughts of leaving the pack. She didn't know what was going on honestly between herself and the stallion which had made it a hobby of stalking her. However, after the non-conventional meeting with his alleged new beta spouting about affections, it was clear that there was a certain pull between the pair.
