He stood in the mirror, a little unsure of what he should be wearing to this little gathering. It was a nice restaurant, but he also didn't want to appear as though he was trying too hard. He was just here to meet his rival pack (or most of them as far as he knew). What could possibly go wrong tonight? A lot. A lot could go wrong in a very short time. He wasn't here to start drama, but lately, it seemed that drama followed him. His panther seemed to crave Malia in a way he wasn't sure he understood. He tried to draw a line in the sand as far as Malia went. He was taken. He had a boyfriend that he loved. And yet...he couldn't keep away from Malia or seem to keep things in the friend zone. Yes. The line was so very muddled.
He settled on some dress slacks with a crisp white shirt. He wasn't sure how the shirt got so wrinkle free. He had never been one to iron. Maybe it was Sterling or Raven? Who knew. But it looked good. Over the shirt he put a baby-blue colored vest, something sharp that would make him stick out and yet not take away from his laid back style. Some called him a carefree surfer-boy...someone that much preferred a pair of shorts or jeans and a t-shirt. But he was meeting his best friend's pack â€" he had to at least look nice.
Once his hair was finally tamed and combed, he looked down at his Apple watch only to see the time. "FUCK!" He was late. Already he was going to be starting the night on a bad foot. He was going to give the impression that he wasn't punctual, which wasn't correct at all. Henry was usually always on time, never even a moment late. So at a hustle, he jogged his way from the ark, splashing on some cologne to hide the musk he was sure to excrete on the brisk walk to the restaurant.
He was only less than five minutes late by the time he rounded the corner. Just as soon as he caught the trio in sight, his eyes landed on Malia. He offered her a smile as he took in her appearance. Damn that dress was tight...but it looked so good on her. In fact, it looked so good on her that he would quickly have to think of something else before his slacks appeared a little too tight in places. Nadya and Frost...right.
Eyes flickered to Nadya, a familiar sight. He'd seen her before, though he couldn't say he knew her all that well. But the gentleman next to her, there was no one else that it could be other than Frost. He wasn't sure what to think of the man. He was told to hate them both on principle, but he had trouble doing that. He didn't know them. He would hate for them to past judgement on him based on what others say, so he would do the right thing and do the same.
As he came to rest in front of Malia, he gave her another smile as he took her hand and pressed a tender kiss of greeting onto the back of her knuckles. "Long time, no see." It really hadn't been that long ago â€" but it has been a quick fuck and say goodbye night. He had been in a terrible place. Eyes looked back to Nadya as he offered her a soft grin. "It's a pleasure to see you again, Nadya." And then his eyes flickered to Frost. He extended his hand to the man in an attempt at a handshake. Best start this night off right, yes? "And you must be Frost. Henry...pleasure to meet you." He hoped the man wouldn't leave him hanging. After all, they still had to have an entire meal together. Best not make it awkward already.
