North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

Carolina Grace Bedford.

The weight of his gaze on her, the fleeting touch of his hand is all it takes to stoke the flames of desire and bring those memories roaring back to life. The weight of the alcohol in her system coupled with her own affinities present in the atmosphere around them pay homage to how she felt on that last encounter, though not quite as free as she had with the euphoric sensation of his venom flowing through her veins. How many times that memory had visited her in dreams or served on lonely nights? It warms her cheeks even now, for all that she is flirtatious in general her relationship with the suave vampire is entirely unique in its physicality; bartending did not leave much room for relationships of any kind. She cannot resist the thinly veiled innuendo as she mentions the desire for those crepes while leaving the purpose of that extra whipped cream she requested. The arch of his brow enough indication that of course it had not gone unnoticed though he doesn't comment on it and she is content to let it hang in the comfortable silence between them.

Raising her glass to her pink lips she tips it back as he acquiesced to her choice, throwing back his own liquor before turning to those dark-clad shadows who were so good at being present without being intrusive. At his command they break into movement that she watches with light curiosity as she finally drains her glass and sets the warm glass back on the table. The rush of what had remained of her whisky burning warm in her throat and emphasizing that lack of inhibition she had already been feeling. She followed slightly behind Sebastian as his team led them so hurriedly back down to the main floor of the club and out some dimly lit hallway to the dark alley. It was all a bit of a blur but she allowed herself to go with the flow of those guards until the door of the large, black vehicle opened before her. Had it been anyone else ushering her into a fully tinted out vehicle in a dark alley she might have had concerns, less enjoyable memories tugging at the back of her mind though they were thoroughly muted by the combined effects of her powers and the alcohol.

She slid into the plush interior of the SUV, supple leather softer than it had any right to be shaping to her body as she settled into the long back seat. She waited while Sebastian slid in next to her, his door closing to muffle the outside world and encompass them in darkness broken only marginally by the glow of the dashboard coming from the front of the car. Reclining back she studied him for a moment, his features cut even deeper in the deep shadows that surrounded them now though his eyes still shone crystalline blue. Her hair trailed softly across her face as it was canted towards him, her hands running lightly over the supple dark leather. "Quite a fuss." She mused, her voice soft as the vehicle began to move though she paid little attention to where they were going exactly, though Sebastian's words had indicated it wouldn't be terribly far. "Does it ever get tiring, having to be herded and followed here and there wherever you go?"

It seemed a large price to pay to lose such freedom, though maybe money and status softened that blow. To her freedom was everything, had she not once had the possibility of wealth and position laid out before her and railed enough against that life to send her running from home and everything that was familiar. To that end she was finding herself rather pleased at being nobody, and happy enough to maybe provide that escape for Sebastian if he was looking for it; he offered it to her often enough.

Run away with me
Lost souls and reverie
Running wild and running free
Two kids, you and me
Long live the pioneers
Rebels and mutineers
Go forth and have no fear
Come close the end is near
