My Own Form Of CHAOS

As the lights dim and the candles flicker, I instinctively turn my gaze to the door, a smirk etching its way across my lips automatically when I see none other than Davante, my new partner in crime, entering the room. I give him a nod if he looks my way, turning my attention back to the group before me as he heads for the bar but it's not long before he reappears near Tobias. He gives him a comment and I tilt my head. So they know each other. He then turns to the wolf shifter, calling her Raven and I'm sure to memorize both names. When he smiles at me, I return the gesture easily, my eyes glinting with inside jokes of darker nights. I note the way he finds himself drawn to someone else and when I follow his gaze, I can see the witch still hanging on the hunter by the door. I raise a brow and give him a knowing look but his secret's safe with me.

The room continues to fill up. More women filter in, mostly weres. A pretty brunette and blonde both head to the bar. The blonde stops to talk to the witch at the door before heading to the bar to get a drink. That bar does seem quite appetizing right now since I don't have a drink in my hand yet. Another guy appraoches, his young face a disguise for the wisdom in his gaze. I can sense his power from here and I know already that he must be ancient. What irony, to have a sixteen year old's face when you're probably the oldest vamp in town.

He inclines his head and it would be rude of me to ignore him so I dip my head in greeting as well, offering a small smirk and reaching out my hand.

"Name's Damon. Haven't seen you around before."

See? I can be friendly. Isolt meanwhile is complimenting Raven's attire though I think she's easily the most stunning creature in the room. I note the way her eyes follow the room before settling on the green eyed man at the bar. She offers him a smile but I can see a turmoil of emotions behind the small gesture and I shift a little in curiosity of their knowledge of each other. She seems unsure of how to react to Tobi's compliment but I watch her face light up when I approach and that in itself is a great reward. She leans in close and I can smell her perfume. I chuckle lightly before leaning back.

"It was and thanks. I don't always go around wearing last week's clothes."

I return her playful smile with a wink to boot, eyes gleaming teasingly. Isolt's eyes continue to roam the room. Her curiosity must be getting the better of her. She offers a few people smiles. I can't see how she's not the center of attention already. Who can resist that beam of light that seems to emanate from her? She looks back at me with a scowl when I call Raven wolf though, chastising mebefore apologizing to the curly haired were. I smirk lazily.

"We met each other's acquaintance on my first night in Sacrosanct."

I offer as a short explanation. She does give me another look but I can already see her resolve cracking. I offer a warm smile in return to further soothe her as she turns from me to see the young/old vampire who has approached. I can sense automatically that she can tell there's something about him too, the way her face softens, only able to offer a shy smile as she leans toward me. I can't altogether say I mind that last part. She whispers a greeting to him and my smirk widens a little.

Raven seems to be enjoying herself, despite my first impression of her humor being that of a wet rag. She makes a comment to Isolt about being named after a bird. I don't quite get it but whatever. As Tobi approaches, she seems to grow even more comfortable, stepping closer to him as she compliments him. Her cheeks turn red with a blush at his own compliment and I can tell already that the two have grown quite close since our last and first encounter. She grows anxious at my appearance so I try to keep my body language non-threatening, not wanting to ruin the peace, at least for tonight. She seems even more wary of Davante though, the way she moves even closer to Tobi before saying something about getting locked in a cage. I glance at Davante in curiosity, raising a brow at him in puzzlement, the corner of my lips twitching slightly, the only hint that I might be asking about that later, if only to hear the story cause I'm sure it's something else.

Suddenly a tall blonde giant is approaching, his eyes not leaving the young/old vampire standing before us. He seems mezmerized and then he falls to his knees behind the guy, saying something about finding him. What the hell? I raise both brows now in surprise, waiting to see how this will play out. I note in the side view that the guy with the staring problem has led another girl out onto the floor and now seems to be asking her to dance. Well, at least his attention is elsewhere.

Tobi is still getting practice on the whole social thing. It's easy enough to tell by the way he answers things. At Isolt's compliment, he simply agrees though it doesn't seem cocky or anything of the sort. He simply looks matter of fact, that he must have answered correctly. It's almost endearing. When I ask about the guy in the picture, he points toward the green eyed man and says a name, Tetra. I make sure to memorize it as well. I note the way he looks between Isolt and I, as if he's thinking about intervening which I would not take kindly to but luckily he holds himself back, instead grinning at Davante as he approaches. He moves to Davante but his own reaction is instant when he notices Raven's hesitancy. He points at something and asks Davante what it is, perhaps hoping he'll look, before he suddenly lashes out, trying to smack the guy in the back of the head. I almost laugh out loud but I manage to hold it in, if only barely.

He lectures Davante about hurting Raven before turning to her, assuring her that Davante won't hurt her anymore and she'll learn to like him. It's amusing, this whole display. Then he turns to the sixteen year old and asks if he's from Syn. I stand by silently, curious to see where this all goes. The night has alreaedy become quite interesting.
