North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

Sebastian EllingtonI need to feel you again, feel my lips on your skin
for one night I could be him, no, I could be better

That stillness that afflicted the young child was entirely a blessing for the vampiric Englishman and yet, though he enjoyed the silence and the ability to release his affinity's hold upon her, he was hardly granted even a glimpse of that sleep that so tugged upon him. His own body was all too aware of the presence of the sun overhead and yet, he hardly trusted his maker enough to allow his guard to fall that far. It would be his ultimate demise if he fell to sleep and she awoke with that same hunger clawing at her stomach. The last thing he wanted was for their plane to be plucked from the sky because she couldn't control herself and, somehow, got past that thick door to the pilots that so strove to fly them safely across the ocean. And so, he struggled to remain awake as the plane slowly descended from the sky, that exhaustion surely visible upon his usually youthful appearing features as he thanked the staff of the airplane before nestling into the back of the vehicle. A soft breath left his lips as his eyes briefly fluttered close, even if he didn't let himself fully fall into that sleep that so called to him.

It was the sound of that announcement that they had arrived that his gaze fluttered open, the man's muscles became taunt as soon as the young child against him too began to slowly shift. Damn. He was hoping she would remain asleep long enough to get the pair into the hotel so he might be given even the smallest glimpse of sleep. Unfortunately, such a hope seemed futile at best. He watched as she sat up, her gaze clearly shifted to the hotel. Navigating the lobby was going to be an utter nightmare at this rate, still, this place specialized within their kind. Surely they had to have some experience with this sort of thing? Some safeguard in place? Still, he was all too well aware of that hint of suspicion that filled her voice, this was clearly not what she was anticipating and yet, Sebastian merely offered her a slow, tired smile. "I am going to get you a present dear." He stated simply, entirely making an effort to reassure her of his intention. After all, he was hardly going to go against his word with such a thing. Regardless of what this trip had in store for him.

"We're at a hotel right now, I just wanted to get us checked in so, tonight, my little princess has a place worthy of her to sleep. That doesn't sound too bad right? You can choose which bed you want and then we can go get something fresh to eat and I'll take you to see your present, okay?" He commented, making a clear point to make Anna-Marie feel as if all of this was for her. After all, what child didn't want to feel the center of attention? In this, she seemed hardly any different. Perhaps the presence of a plan might give her something to look forward to enough to put up with the less than favorable aspects of their evening. Sebastian reached out his hand to the young woman, as if asking her if she would join him on this. It was hardly her choice really, the vampire was in truth entirely content to press his power upon her to conform her to his will and yet, at this point he was tired enough to allow her the guise that this was entirely up to her. It would be so much better if she just worked with him on this singular thing.
