Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

She could feel them both drowning in the fear that he was emitting. The tension in his frame pulled his muscle taut, and how Samantha wished that she could calm him down. Her eyes followed him entirely as she returned from the window. "Aiden," She murmured, letting out a soft breath as she moved once more to be entirely at his side. Her fingertips ran through his fur. How she wished she could make his tension go away. But she couldn't, not without using her power, and she'd promised that that would never happen again. But how else could she help him without him telling her what it was that was bothering him? This wasn't a minor thing, it wasn't a simple case of a bad day. No, this was real. It was a real thing causing him pain, and she had no idea how to help. "Baby, I'm here..."

She heard the snort on his lips at the notion that he might be safe here, though any reassurance she might have had on the matter was cut short by the series of... images? that seemed to appear within her own mind. She was positive that she'd never seen the woman that appeared in her mind, her only run in with vampires having been that tragic night within the woods. But yet the images of the vampiric woman played in her mind so much like a movie. She could feel the pain in the images. The pain, the worry, the terror. She didn't understand it, not until Aiden abruptly stood and shook her hand off of him, and the images halted as quickly as they'd begun. They were his thoughts. The realization hit her suddenly. She wasn't sure how she could see them, but that hardly mattered at the moment. No, what mattered right now was the emotions he was feeling right now.

She stood as well as the animal gave way to the frame of her boyfriend, easily crossing the room to stand near him. She reached out, the tips of her fingers brushing against his skin, and as easily as they'd been the first time she could see his thoughts. That constant stream of agony that he wasn't safe. That she wasn't safe by extension. It was this vampire he was afraid of, the name Risque ringing out within her mind and leaving a foul taste within her mouth. She heard the words he spoke, warning her to stay home, but her focus was entirely on the image of the vampiric woman lying dead upon her roof and the disbelief that her boyfriend felt about the lack of life within the corpse.

"Sure," She said softly, moving gently to wrap her arms around his side. She held herself close to him, her lips gently kissing his skin in a small attempt to soothe the piercing anxiety that he felt. She reached for his hand, gently drawing him away from the window and towards her bed. She kicked with her foot to move Dorian's sword away from the nightstand and under her bed before she reached to toss the stuffed black panther from her pillows. She let go of him for only a moment to crawl into bed before she reached for him to coax him within the sheets as well.

"Aiden," She murmured softly, not sure how to broach the topic of what she had just seen, or even to explain it to him. It felt deeply personal to have seen his thoughts, but perhaps the only way to soothe him would be to coax out words regarding the topic. Her fingertips brushed over his arm, rubbing his skin soothingly as she took a breath, preparing herself for the question she was about to ask and his potential reaction to it. "Aiden, baby, who is Risque?"
