Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Nadya Tetradore
A flicker of amused passed over Nadya's features about the neon green hair. Frost had been quite delirious and his imagination apparently gotten the best of him. It was only the tears that made the young woman nervous as she turned her gaze elsewhere. She still listened to what the fellow Beta had to say but couldn't bring herself to fully look Edie in the eyes with her crying. It was only when she questioned after Frost's current status did she spare a glance back at her. That familiar ache that she had felt when healing Frost, knowing he had been so close to that edge, stung now hearing Edie speak. It was a new feeling, one she couldn't put a finger on to describe. "He doesn't like appearing weak." She agreed lightly knowing full well the front that Edie described in Frost's behavior. Nadya was grateful Edie accepted her request not to tell Frost about her visit. "I doubt he really remembers much anyways after I found him, he was so delirious." There was no point in acting or saying something based off an event with someone who was under the influence of mass blood loss.
"But," There was something that struck out at Nadya with Edie's crying, saying she wasn't any good of a Beta. "if you want to be a good Beta, don't ever say you're not. You can be stressed and worried and care for your pack but you have to be confident in your place...that you deserve to be there. If you question your capability in your position then the rest of the pack will question it too. It only takes one member to question you to make for a difficult pack....trust me." Whether it was the edge of mothering from having the twins or just simply being one female Beta to another female Beta in an inherently male dominated world...well it was hard to tell. Nadya offered a small shrug of her shoulder. "You just need to practice your powers until they're strong and yield as easily as breathing. Frost is good at bringing that out from what I hear so you should have him train you." While she had heard of his methods being unorthodox they were also effective.
Once more Nadya became uncomfortable with the line of questioning she was presented- the fact that Edie felt Frost would turn the world upside for her. "He is known for his extremes." She sighed softly and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear before refolding her arms across her chest. "It's not as black and white as that. I have my children and my brother. I can't just leave...and after everything that's been done. How would I ensure that my pack would be safe if I left? This...rivalry...it's dangerous and complicated. I've never loved anyone before." Nadya's gaze which had been on the trees surrounding them watching a pair of squirrels stashing nuts for the winter refocused on Edie. "I want to be with him but there doesn't seem to be a way to make everyone happy; which hearts do I break?" It was Nadya's turn for the all too serious tone. It was the one question that had been plaguing her for days. Which hearts? Her brother would be devastated and she would hurt leaving him but she knew her heart would hurt too watching Tobi with Raven and her brother with Sam while she had to stay away from the one who wanted her.
