Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Samantha Cassidy

If there was anything that the empath had never been particularly good at, it was concealing her emotions. Even when she was a human the smallest of things would send her into tears. When she had been captured by those three girls, she had spent the whole week with the terror and pain she felt so evident in her body. Perhaps that was why whatever fates had blessed her with the abilities that she now had. There was no exception to that now as she was held at knife-point by the girl she had thought was her friend. The sobbing erupted within the girl almost instantly - accompanied by the bubbles that she'd seen before. She was hardly surprised by the way Vhalla felt nothing but rage at their appearance - and a hint of... amusement? How dare she be amused by this. How dare she find anything but shame of what she was doing to the queen.

The woman's tears halted as that rage seemed to fill her, her eyes following Vhalla as that knife was placed into her boot. She tried to pull away from the hand that wrenched her out of bed and to her feet, the scowl present on her features as she jerked her body back. "Don't fucking touch me Vhalla," The girl spat as she crossed her arms across her chest, refusing to look at the woman who had hurt her so deeply. The idea of attacking her felt so... enticing. She wanted to cause the girl as much pain and horror as she was feeling, and yet that was not Sam... Sam was a better person... was she not? She was, and she refused to hurt the woman or even try to attack her.

At least, that's how she felt until the blonde woman brought up Dorian and Aiden with that promise to show them exactly what she had meant by how defenseless Samantha was. The rage that rolled off the witch seemed to only amplify Samantha's own fury. In that moment she was not the tiny human girl who had been turned. No, at that moment she was as dangerous as a hurricane, and Vhalla was the center of her wrath. In that moment she was purely the merciless Faerie Queen. "Don't you dare," She said with her voice devoid of anything other than that icy fury that spread across her features.

There were a lot of things Samantha could overlook out of the people she surrounded herself with, but threatening the people she loved was not one of them. How wrong had she been about the witch that she had thought to consider a friend? She had trusted her, taken her in, wanted to keep her safe. And all for this moment in which she had learned about her weaknesses and exploited them.

Samantha could kill her.

The Fae Queen reached out then, her affinity grasping at the strands of the woman's emotions. It was easy to give them a pull, and Samantha hardly hesitated in manipulating that rage into fear. Because she should be afraid of the Queen. She was powerful, and the witch couldn't even control the fire that burned within her. It was only when she could feel that fear radiating off the woman did Samantha's gaze fall upon her.

"I trusted you. I took you in and helped you and treated you like my friend. And you come in here and dare threaten me or the people I love?" Samantha's voice cracked with that hurt that spread throughout her body, the girl releasing her hold on Vhalla's emotions swiftly as she looked away. "Get out of my house, Vhalla. I don't want to see you again."
