Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
The Ripper
William Jack Holloway
The explanation that the assassin offered him regarding the family style dining they would currently partake in caused the man's shoulders to relax. He thought himself well versed in the modern world, and yet there were so many things that the blonde spoke of that threw him. "I have a feeling, my dear, that you are enjoying throwing me with your language," He teased, reaching out to grab ahold of the fork to chase her away from the cake. That laugh that she offered him was like music to his ears, and he found himself laughing right along with her. It was a beautiful noise and one he hoped that he could coax even more from her. "Ah, but you have to share with me. You'll find I have quite the appetite, even if most of these foods are entirely foreign to me." There was no need to lie about that, though he had every desire to try every single dish on the table if they promised to be as delectable as their aroma might suggest.
It was the fork that balanced right at her lips that seemed to throw her the most. That bashful smile she offered him saw his heart soar, the man thrilled that she accepted the bite. "So sweets then, love? That is the way to woo you?" He teased, his eyes following her the whole time that she licked the excess frosting off her lips. He grinned at her. "I always enjoyed eating myself. Far more than a gentleman should, I'm afraid." He quirked a brow as she mentioned the chocolate still lingering on her lips. "Ah, but if we stop, I won't be able to do this," He leaned forward then, one hand coming up to cup her cheek in his hand as he leaned in to kiss her. It was a gentle kiss, one that lasted only a second before his tongue traced along her lower lip and caught that last bit of chocolate. Pulling back, he smirked at her. "Ah, it tastes so delectable on your lips, ma belle."
However, the moment seemed immediately chased away by the questioning on whether or not he would be staying within the city. Vhalla was something he hadn't mentioned to Sebastian, and frankly he wasn't sure how to. The duo were still so raw from the admittance of their shared feelings for each other, even though they were unable to act upon it now. There was nothing wrong with the Hunter finding someone, and yet he still felt guilty for it. But, after two hundred years of pining, he supposed it was only natural was it not? He was thankful then, when she didn't pressure him into giving an answer to why it was complicated. How could he explain? How did he know it wouldn't entirely chase her away? He was in love with Sebastian, and yet he couldn't deny the attraction he held for the young witch.
It is her question that entirely threw him off the self-loathing state of thoughts he was beginning to go down. His fingers curled upon hers as she took his hand, a laugh on his lips as soon as he looked up to that grin of hers. "Definitely the hair," He teased. "I've always wanted to date a ghost." He squeezed her hand, the man's grin fading into a more serious look. "But in all... seriousness... you're different. From anyone I've ever met. You're lively and spirited and you're not... demure..." A blush crept up into his cheeks as he avoided looking at her. If he looked at her, he would never finish his sentence. "I grew up in a world of women who were soft-spoken and wanted to please me and win my affections. Not a one of them ever interested me." He gave her a smile. "And then you come along and you want to kill me, and you're witty and feisty and... I'll admit entirely sexy. It's enticing. I just couldn't say no."
He chuckled to himself before he allowed her to pull her hand back, the man watching with interest as she picked up one of those clams. It was a food he had been wary of seeing as he had no idea how to eat it, and yet the woman made it look so easy. He watched her as she stood, his eyes on the clam she held balanced within those slim fingers. He reached up as she put it to his lips, taking her hand to steady them both as he sucked the inside from that shell. His eyes closed briefly as he savored that taste. "Bloody hell," He muttered to himself. "And here I was expecting those to be rubbish. How foolish of me." He pulled his fingers back then, letting her sit back down before he scooped up another one of those clams and let himself suck out the delicious insides.
"Now, kitten," He raised a brow as he observed her reaction to the name he was becoming fond of for her. "Outside of knives - which believe me, is a wonderful hobby - what does the lovely Vhalla do to occupy her time?"
But darling -- it's only human nature.
