Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

you were the answer that I had

you were the answer to my dreams

The King's voice certainly had a way of resonating within the small apartment, effectively silencing the fae girl and her relentless efforts to so impress upon the Victorian man all the harm he had so afflicted upon her. Sebastian could hardly deny how endearing it was that Dorian made such an effort to jump to his aid, even if he certainly didn't deserve such a kindness. After all, the consequence of his actions that fateful night were quite clear for the vampire. Anna-Marie had taken everything away from him and it would seem she would only continue to do so even hundreds of years later. The vampire shifted ever so slightly within his chair with rather notable discomfort at the situation he so found himself within. Tonight surely embodied well his worst fears. He was aware, naturally, of Samantha's momentary efforts to talk over her companion though it was but a fleeting attempt before Dorian's own words continued with such a steadfast force. He watched the young woman fall silent, her eyes becoming glassy as those French lyrics so entered his ears. The vampire was entirely unwilling to accept those words of reassurance if only because he knew well that this was far from over. Instead he did his best to offer some measure of apology for the woman, even though such words seemed all but wasted.

The silence that radiated from the young woman as she so struggled with her sobbing was but painfully obvious to the Englishman and too, it would seem, his companion. Sebastian himself fell to silence as Dorian fished a handkerchief from his pocket, pressing it into the young girl's hands as he whispered his own reassuring words softly to the woman. The vampire knew well the promise was meant for Samantha alone and yet, nevertheless, his lips pressed together ever so slightly. He failed to see how this conundrum would find a satisfactory ending in any regards. What was there to solve? Sebastian knew well he had bit her, just as he knew well that whatever words he now offered her would hardly matter. She had condemned him for what he was - a fact that was entirely unchangeable. The man's crystalline gaze fluttered away from the pair, allowing his lover that moment with the crying young woman as he so dwelled upon his own options. It seemed futile to try to salvage this - to put any of them through the continued awkwardness when he knew well what social graces would have been required of him in a situation such as this. At the very least, the man was perfectly capable of being able to tell when his own presence was no longer wanted. Body language was, after all, always his strongest point.

He was hardly astonished by the way the King at his side so seemed to flawlessly return the conversation back to a safer topic, ones deemed appropriate for such a social gathering and though Sebastian himself was more than capable of ignoring the event in the same fashion Dorian too had, he knew well the Samantha had not been given the same upbringing either of them had. His bright blue eyes shifted towards that chicken in front of him, staring at that piece of meat and pasta that he himself had yet to touch once. A small frown tugged at the Englishman's features in the palpable tenseness that still invaded every facet of their dinner, his attention turning only at the sound of Dorian's voice so commenting on the wine he'd bought. It seemed silly now, that he had taken sure astute care to choose something that Samantha might have found to her tastes when this was all destined to fail from the beginning. How fate so teased him! He pushed such thoughts away from the forefront of his mind, however, his crystalline gaze shifted towards his companion. His accented lyrics were soft, and yet, entirely genuine in his intentions. "Ma biche, I think it is best if I take my leave. It would seem Samantha may have need of you...I'm sorry." And oh the increasingly long list of things he had to so apologize for.
