Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
The vampire had, perhaps, taken advantage of that privilege so afforded to him by his title of Consort, allowing his hands to settle upon his lover's behin. His hands squeezed ever so slightly, only just enough to so find his own appreciation of the fashion in which those white pants so conformed to the contour of Dorian's physique. He was all too aware of the man's jounce in astonishment and yet, that surprise was entirely amusing to the Englishman. After all they've done in all those nights that he so fondly looked back on, it was amazing that something so small and simple might produce such a reaction within the King. He enjoyed it all the same, however, that singular word so effortlessly brought a warm chuckle to his lips and yet, his arms fell away as his lover so strove to step away from him. His explanation of their own costumes seemed to be met with a measure of disbelief and yet, regardless, Sebastian still strove to draw his lover down those stairs and past his own servants. He was oblivious, in some regard, to the King's attempt to so cast his gaze elsewhere then the long slender legs of Elizabeth. After all, even within the vampire's own era, though such a sight would have been scandalous indeed, Sebastian himself would have enjoyed the sight all the same. In that Englishman, there seemed some things even his own overbearing culture could not stop him from appreciating.
In fact, it wasn't until the giggling sound of those young females trampling up his own walkway that Sebastian truly became aware that it was the outfits that so seemed to perturb his lover. The vampire paused beside his companion, his own indigo eyes befalling the females with that same enigmatic aloofness he so often employed when he didn't particularly want to be bothered. Unfortunately for him, such an aura was not well red by the group, their voices so intoning that customary phrase as their buckets and bags were thrust in front of them. It was movement from the periphery of his gaze that so drew his attention to the baffled features of the man at his side, those French words so causing his head to cock to the side as his eyes turned briefly back to the girls. His lips parted, fully intending to offer something of a way of response and yet, the vampire scarcely had a moment to so let a syllable leave his lips before the group before him were squealing with delight of his lover's foreign accent. Sebastian's gaze remained steadfast as a young woman leaned forward to so toy with that glowing light upon his King's hoodie, at least, until one of the women so stepped forward to speak to him.
He had hardly expected the invitation to return with them to their college campus, had such an invitation been given to him but months ago, Sabastian might have so greedily accepted it - but now? Now, such a promise offered within those words hardly interested, although the man did his best to skirt politely around the invitation all the same. Thankfully, such tactical skills were hardly required long of him before Charles appeared at the door of his own home with that bowl of heaping bars of candy to distract the women. He was hardly oblivious to that sudden closeness between himself and his companion, his arm draping behind the man to settle in an entirely reassuring fashion upon Dorian's waist. "It is." He spoke in confirmation, nodding ever so slightly and yet, he could hardly help the glance so given to his manservant as a way of silent appreciation for his timely appearance. Thankfully, the man seemed well aware of that situation that so required him to save them from, offering the vampire the smallest of nods before the young women turned upon their heels to so retreat down his pathway in the same way they had moments ago come.
His gaze only briefly turned at the sensation of something brushing against his arm and for a brief moment, Sebastian eyed the girl that trailed behind her pack, her gaze turning backwards towards them with a wave and a dauntless grin. His interest in her, however, was perhaps solely for the food she might provide him and yet, such a thought of blood was forgotten readily enough as his attention turned fully towards his lover's, meeting those moonlight colored irises. A small simper toyed at his features at Dorian's observation and slowly he nodded, "Oh, I am very sure they wanted you to look, and perhaps something more from you then just that." The true extent of their offer was hardly lost upon the vampire, that simple comment the only real acknowledgement of it before Sebastian turned to follow his lover down the path. "We could, but I think we are a bit too....old for such a thing...." He commented in regards to the childish prospect of 'Trick-or-Treating', his voice entirely trailing off as his lover stepped those several feet away from him only to allow the vampire that view that Dorian himself had earlier admitted was decidedly dashing.
Sebastian, as it was, had little reservations in so eying the fabric of that costume in the way Dorian so seemed to desire. Oh, how capable he was of so appreciating each part of the man's body! "Of that I have no doubts..." Sebastian murmured with a hint of that huskiness to his English accent in response to Dorian's certainty that he was capable of being convincing. Captivating, he was sure, was far better of a word and yet, the vampire hardly bothered to correct him in such a thing. Rather, it was only at the end of his walkway meeting the sidewalk of the street that saw Sebastian step to Dorian's side, fully intending to remain there as they traveled the busy streets with screaming children, fretting parents, hyperactive high schoolers and the decidedly scandalous costumes of the nearby college's students. Sebastian saw nurses and queens, vampire's and superheroes, animals and costumes too crude even for his own preference. Nevertheless, it was with that steady onward movement that finally saw the vampire lead his companion to a large and rather busy fairground. A large canvas sign hung over the mouth of a large stone castle, those bright orange lights so spelling the words - 'Freak Night'.
The costumes of those that traveled the castle and it's interior courtyard certainly had a more adult presence to them and yet, even those spectacles paled in comparison to the event that so filled those halls. The entire interior of the castle's courtyard was filled with a large field of corn, in the depths of which the sounds of screams and boisterous noises could so be heard. The hallways themselves were adorned with ribbons to so give the feel of the carnival, the great hall itself featuring aerial acrobats so performing overhead of the crowd. There was music reverberating somewhere deeper into the castle and stalls of carnival games so lining the interior. It certainly held the capability to be entirely overwhelming and yet, Sebastian, as always, found himself entirely at home amongst a crowd of boisterous strangers. He remained close to his lover, however, his indigo gaze turning with a warm simper towards his companion, the vampire uttering within the King's ear. "Welcome, mon amour, to the carnival."
