Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Samantha Cassidy
Samantha was certainly falling apart. Every single cell on her body seemed to be desperately trying to tear her apart and god, she was going to fall apart. The more she wrapped her arms around herself, the harder it was to keep the sobs within her. Every thought of Aiden made her feel as though she was on fire instead of him. She curled her body up even tighter as though she could make herself disappear if she simply held herself tight enough. And sometimes she wished she would disappear. She wished she would have been the one... instead of Aiden. Less people would be so hurt if she had been the one to go. Tobi had said it wasn't her fault... but it was. It was. It was all her fault. She could feel the way that Troy's guilt seemed to eat at him. In all of her grief, her power seemed to be only amplified. She could feel the way that Dorian worried about her from across the apartment, and sometimes - like tonight - Samantha simply couldn't stand it. That had been the real reason that she'd wanted him out of the apartment. Not the need for him to see his boyfriend, but simply a break from the worry he felt for her.
Unfortunately for her, Troy seemed to be feeling the same ones.
Samantha looked up just in time to see him reach out to her, and truly she almost wished that he would. She wanted to crawl into his touch and let him comfort her. But he pulled his hand back, and Samantha merely rested her cheek on her legs as she looked over at him. It was only when she insisted it was her fault did he speak once more. There was something different about the way he spoke that made her listen more so than anyone else. He didn't know what had happened, but maybe he was right. Aiden wouldn't... Aiden wouldn't want her to be miserable like this, right? Aiden loved her, even if he'd never specifically said so. She could feel his love, and she feared that she'd never feel it again.
"Okay," She said finally, though she didn't truly allow herself to let go of that anger and grief towards herself. She moved off the couch suddenly, leaning into Troy's side. She wanted him to hold her. She wanted to let him comfort her even though she surely didn't deserve that. "Troy, thank you... T... thank you for coming." She leaned over, pressing her lips to his cheek almost sweetly. She was sure she looked a mess, given that she hadn't showered or ate or done anything to take care of herself. But she still appreciated him all the same.
