Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
every king had a story, of ancient glory, sweetly told
It took several minutes for his own breathing to steady and that thrum of his heart to cease its erratic tempo into something far steadier. If anything might be said for those frequent couplings he partook in with his lover it was, surely, that Dorian's own physical fitness had increased tenfold in that year. Attempting to match the stamina of a vampire in any sense was no easy feat after all and yet, of late, Dorian had some come to find his own breathing and heartbeat returned to that steady pace far more readily than they once had. The idea of it wholly satisfying to the man as he simply continued to relish those soft sheets, his own heated body and the sounds of Sebastian beside him as they so bathed in that veritable afterglow of all they had done. Sebastian so at last pulled himself onto his elbows, commenting on those letters that had become nothing short of scattered about the room. Dorian's own gaze shifting to examine that veritable destruction. How displeased his PA would be come tomorrow! All that time she had spent arranging those envelopes had been undone within the space of an hour or so until it was no longer possible to tell which letter was for who. It mattered particularly little in the end, Dorian supposed. The Monarch assured that he should hardly mind if Sebastian opened all his fan mail. Perhaps, come to tomorrow, he might merely ask Emma to simply stack it all together rather than worry about sorting it to the extent she had. Besides, with his so moving into Sebastian's home tomorrow evening there would surely be far more important matters to deal with.
That small simper played upon his lips all the same as he so assured his lover that, if they were to open all their mail like this then it would most certainly be a rather grand month. Dorian so entirely taken with that new positioning Sebastian had subject them to this evening. It was, after all, perhaps an unfortunate fact of anatomy that he was so often denied a view off his lover in those pleasurable moments. This evening so having afforded him just that. Dorian certain that he would never forget the sight of it as long as he should live! The vampire commenting but a moment later that he too had enjoyed that aforementioned view, the Fae so unable to prevent that grin that danced upon his features in decided delight before he rolled onto his stomach, a favoured position, his lips pressing ardently to his lovers own. Sebastian so returning that sweet, tender kiss that seemed only to further the warmth that already heated his frame from within before he gently pulled away. Dorian shifted slightly, folding his arms in such a fashion as to use them as a pillow of sorts, resting his head upon them lazily and with that obvious air of contentment. Sebastian suddenly commenting that they need reply to all those letters, Dorian's eyes lifting upward in surprise.
"All of them? Is it even possible? We shall be writing for days! This is merely what was received in the space of a week or so, they shall keep coming every week I fear, Mon Cher. I suppose though that I do understand your point in this, it is merely that I worry for the practicality of it. We do have those within the palace whose job it is to respond to these sorts of things on our behalf yet if you should feel strongly about attending to each personally then we shall. I shall not send her any polaroids back though."
Frankly Dorian was unsure as to what to do with the ones she had sent them aside from toss them out. The Monarch so contemplating whether or not Sebastian might consider writing several letters before having them printed in large numbers so that they might merely choose the appropriate letter to send in return to each person rather then so writing a personal message to each. The Monarch quite assured Sebastian did not fully comprehend the enormity of the task he desired to take on and yet a part of him so adored that man all the more for it. Politeness after all, even in the veritable extreme, so seemed to personify that man he adored. His own thoughts shifted then to perhaps that singular other want that stirred within him in that moment, Dorian so softly requesting his lover reach into that bedside drawer to produce that packet and hand it to him, the Fae taking it easily from him now before tugging back that foil to revel that delectable bar of chocolate. The Monarch entirely aware, in that moment, of his boyfriend's utter focus on that treat. Such a hopeless creature he was! Dorian paused to slip but a singular square between his lips and savour that rich, creamy taste.
A chuckle readily parted his own lips at that momentary look of falsified indignation that crossed Sebastian's features, the man quick to assure him that he could hardly know of that hidden treat when he had been within this bedroom but twice before. Dorian content to inform him he would surely bring his chocolate with him to the vampires own home- even if he so intended to hide it. Sebastian's nose wrinkling slightly in a fashion the man found distinctly amusing, the Monarch truly curious as to how long it might actually take the vampire to find hidden chocolate all the same. Dorian quite determined he should like to test such a thing later on, the man willing, for now at least, to share that coveted prize- if only because he loved him. That sigh that fell from his boyfriends lips was met with a veritable eye roll on the part of the Fae, Sebastian so admitting that he guessed he loved him too.
"Oh you guess do you?"
There was little save a mocking amusement to his words, Dorian holding out that chocolate bar to him a moment later. Sebastian's manners, as always, so wholly impeccable that the Fae was inclined to believe the man might stare at that bar all night without taking any lest he was invited. The vampire reaching all-too eagerly for it a second later, Dorian wholly fit to remind him to take half as opposed to his usual three quarters of any treat they shared. Sebastian fixing him with that pout Dorian was utterly incapable of ignoring. How his heart might burst with that look! The Monarch utterly incapable of denying him anything when that man so beseeched him with such a glance, that warm simper brushing across his features again.
"Do not give me that look Bastian, you know I cannot resist you when you do."
The man reached easily to break off an extra line, handing it to the vampire now, Dorian utterly incapable of doing anything less before he reached for yet another piece of his own chocolate. That undeniable sweetness but the perfect finish to this evening of sex and Sebastian and too- that knowledge he surely never need sleep alone again. It was these wholly pleasing thoughts, surely, that prompted the man to speak of the near year it had been since the night they had first met. Dorian looking back upon such an evening with fondness even now. How far they had come! The Monarch so determined back then not to become attached to the vampire in any sense and yet how his thoughts had strayed to that man over and over after that singular night. Fate so having seen them meet again on those docks some nights later by chance and yet....of all that had happened since that time Dorian was wholly assured fate played far more a role then chance ever had. If Matteo and his book were right then, surely, Sebastian had been fated to find him since the day he was born! A soft simper played upon his lips once more at his lovers assurance they should surely celebrate this anniversary of their meeting, this addition of 'darling' a delightfully new term of endearment the man found himself rather taken with before Sebastian spoke of that Witchery and this 'Rowena' woman he could only assume was the owner of that hotel. A soft sound of amusement echoing within his throat.
"I am pleased you did not get kicked out, I rather liked that hotel, it had those charming little coloured lamps, you remember the ones?"
He had adored them then, the man still sure he would adore them now. His silver gaze lifting then to meet the vibrant blue of his lovers own at Sebastian utterance that he had so feared, once, that Dorian might tire of him in some fashion. How silly such a thought! The Fae King leaning over once more to press his lips to his lover's cheek in that touch of affection.
"That is something you shall never have to worry off. Though I too once held the same fear that you would surely find another."
That subtle grin tugged at his lips all the same, Dorian amused entirely at the notion that they had both once feared very much the same thing with but no knowledge of how they might one day end up. The man so unashamed to admit these things to his lover now. The Fae reached for but another piece of chocolate then. His gaze returned to his lover now.
"As for this anniversary- is there anything you should like to do? Perhaps, if it appeals to you, we could so go back to that hotel, even if only for the night? We could reacquaint ourselves with your old room- and that bed. I do have a new idea I should like to try. As for what we should do before that though, perhaps, if you like, we could sleep until midday or so and if you are not opposed to that touch of my own magic we could go to the beach and enjoy the sun. I have gotten far more powerful since Belton, I could easily keep you safe for some hours now- without affecting any other, I promise. Quite frankly I would also like to see you in a bathing suit."
That chuckle spilled from his lips once more, one eye lifting in that teasing fashion. Dorian paused now to allow his lover to consider that idea or suggest his own. After all, how long had it been since Sebastian had gone to the beach?
