Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Sebastian could not deny that he had questions of Arlo's eating habits. He certainly did, though, they were perhaps not ones his kind so often asked the man. Still, that Victorian upbringing was still far too ingrained within his very demeanor for the vampire to inquire after such a topic that, he suspected, made the man in front of him uncomfortable in some fashion, despite the way he brushed it off so easily. Rather, he accepted this aspect of the vampire with the same ease that Englishman so accepted all those who came across his pathway during those bachelor years. He had seen souls who denied their very anatomy, mortals that were delusional enough to consider themselves another species entirely, those obsessed with the peculiar, and had engaged in activities many would have considered outside of the norm. At the end of the night, it had never mattered to him as long as he returned to whatever motel room he called home in one piece and fully fed. Sebastian saw no reason to regard tonight with any difference then he had any other evening. Still, he couldn't deny that frown that tugged at those sluggishly over drugged features at that simple sentence. It was silly, really, be he hated being apart of the 'norm'. He was certainly not like everyone.
Rather, as he leaned against those cool plains of Arlo's chest, he allowed that conversation to drift to that shared interest between the two men - music. Those very arts were his soul, much as he assumed they had been for his companion too in those ages of life. His lips pressed together at the snort he was regarded with, his darkly hued gaze shifted towards that grin upon Arlo's features. A soft huff left his lips at the man's lips in indignation. "I don't own a television and those antiques are my childhood." He grumbled more to himself then the man against him. He had been taught well what each of those spoons meant and which course they belonged too, just as his household still had cloth napkins, even if he never used them. He was a man of his age and it seemed as if Arlo had picked up on that decidedly boring fact all too easily. A gruff sound reverberated in his throat, that note far easier than any other words he might have offered the vampire in confirmation and yet, the idea of him in a band was altogether laughable, particularly considering he'd affect anyone whom he played for. Rather, it was the inquiry of friendship that saw him turn his gaze away from the man, his cheek still resting upon Arlo's chest all the same before he muttered simply enough, "No, I don't have any friends." He stated, the truth of his life so falling freely from his lips and yet, Sebastian found himself hardly terribly perturbed over that simple fact. After all, he had Dorian now - his boyfriend was far more than any friendship he had ever hoped to have. That singular soul was enough for him.
Regardless, those more carnal desires still tugged at the vampire, that bite upon his neck had started something within him and that talk of sex only furthered his usually high libido. He listened to those woes his young companion was beset with before offering some sort of sage word and yet, he still found himself entirely curious of one simply thing - if those mortal women simply didn't work for the vampire, why did their blood still call to him? Did it? In the same way that his own did? It was an intriguing thought and yet, any notions of those curiosities were surely lost in Sebastian's own efforts to be forward with those interests he held within the man he so unabashedly leaned against. He could feel those muscles of the man's chest beneath his cheek, just as he was entirely certain those chiseled plains continued downwards only to give way to a physique Sebastian was certain he would have found wholly appetizing. It was a shame, however, that his companion seemed wholly oblivious to his interest. Or, perhaps on second thoughts, it was a very beneficial thing - nearly forcing him to keep his promise to that fea he so desperately loved and yet, was presently so entirely without.
Those moans of protest left his lips as Arlo shifted him to lean against that brick wall, that world felt so unsatisfyingly cold without the man's body against his and yet, Sebastian scarcely had a moment to complain before disappearing entirely, only to return but moments later with a young woman whom, quite promptly, fell unconscious. A soft huff left her lips as he slid down that wall, his finger gingerly prodding at her forehead an in effort to rouse her if only for his enjoyment in arousing her, all the while insisting that the advice he gave was sound. The man had hardly missed that dubious way in which Arlo looked at him and yet, with the man near hefting him to his feet, any further words he had to defend himself were wholly forgotten as a wave of nausea slammed into him with that sudden and rather jarring shift in their environment. He was, perhaps, too far gone to really question that sudden appearance upon the street far too much, the vampire instead attempting to focus on his footing as that solid figure beside him chose to simply let go. It resulted in a rather ungraceful stumble into the nearest lamp pole and yet, the Englishman was grateful there had at least been something to catch him as leaned heavily upon that metal.
It was that musical sound of a giggle that drew the Englishman's attention, that affinity he so often relied upon when hunting near lashing out to ensnare any in his vacinity, nearly dragging them towards him with a pressing need he'd so instilled within them. The vampire's attention was so entirely steadfast of that first woman whom found him, his lips eagerly meeting her own before trailing downwards only to bite into her flesh, his own specific form of toxin so flooding her system as he partook of that blood that flowed through her veins. Sebastian all but ignored that softly uttered words that left Arlo's mouth, entirely focused upon how utterly hungry he was in wake of the vampire's feeding. Dear God, how he needed her and yet, that desire was quickly replaced by the second set of hands that so found him, prompting the man to move from the first woman to the second with but a small lick of those wounds and a softly uttered request as he gingerly led her onto his companion.
His attention turned quite quickly enough towards the second woman who so effortlessly slid into his arms, the man far more aware of that world that surrounded him as that mortal blood now filled his veins, chasing away that fog that had once beset his mind. He pulled that second woman closer towards his form as his lips teased at the woman's neck, those blue hued eyes simply watching the female as she leaned against Arlo, her fingers toying at the skin beneath his shirt as she leaned up to whisper those words he'd requested from her into his ear. There was a hint of smugness to his features as Arlo's gaze turned towards him, that huff upon the man's lips only prompted a chuckle from his own and yet, he said little else as his teeth plunged into that second woman's neck. He was hardly attentive to his companion any longer, focused only on that blood that poured in his mouth - at least until her heartbeat began to waver. Eventually, he pulled his mouth from her throat, relinquishing his hold upon her before, in turn, allowing that smiling woman to wander from his grasp and back onto that original path she had tread. Her companion soon followed suit, leaving the vampire alone with his companion once again.
That shove upon his shoulder hardly offset him as much as it would have but moments ago, that venom all but a dull sensation at the back of his thoughts, his body working quickly to return him to that state he was prior to Arlo's feeding. A smirk crossed his features as he leaned lackadaisically against that lamp post, hardly needing it for support and yet he found himself comfortable where he was. "You're not the only one with....talents, Arlo." He commented, his now bright blue eyes stared at the man in front of him as Arlo folded his arms. It would have certainly been easier now to make his desires for the man before him known and yet, without Arlo's venom so coursing through his veins, those urges to break that promise he'd made to the fae King had diminished. After all, he had wholly committed himself to Dorian and, to be frank, Sebastian would never forgive himself if he strayed. Still, a party didn't sound all that bad - did it? A small shrug crossed his shoulders. "I didn't have any other plans for the evening...I don't often play wingman but...maybe for you I'll make an exception. "A year is far too long of a dry spell. We'll get you laid by the end of the night." Those words were more akin to a promise and yet, that mischievous smirk was altogether present upon Sebastian's features, he nodded the heart of downtown, the vampire pushing himself off of the lamp post. It had been far too long since the vampire had any sort of fun, tonight seemed a good night to mix things up.
