Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after

The sheer plethora of sweets that rested before him was all but overwhelming, considering what he now viewed to be a small bag within his fingertips. The man was more than content to point out the multitude of delectables he recognized within that first case. Sebastian hardly anticipated that response to his inquiry over whether or not Dorian had ever had fudge before, the vampire quite near staring at his lover with a hint of disbelief before that long breath of air left his lips. He could hardly help that complaint that was softly uttered from his lips, the man entirely displeased of all the Monarch had been denied. So very often, the Englishman made it his own personal goal, to introduce the Monarch to all those marvels of modern life that he had missed in those centuries he'd spent trapped away from the world. That gentle squeeze of his lover's hand within his own, combined with that gentle reminder that surely, he would be allowed another bag if it was deemed necessary. His lips pressed together in consideration before the man nodded slowly in understanding. It was with a clear measure of gravity that Sebastian turned his attention back towards that first case, the man entirely determined to ensure he chose those chocolates he found he quite liked whilst also attempting to introduce his lover to a near array of those sweets that he had not already brought the man home in those evenings he'd ventured out.

It only took a moment longer before he began to pick out those chocolate covered fruits and those little perfect squares of fudge, the vampire entirely certain that he could not allow Dorian to go on in life without tasting these at the very least. He watched as the young woman placed those pieces he'd chosen into his bag, that excitement at the richness of those sweets, at the scents and the sights never once faltered even despite the seriousness that laced each choice he made. It was the sound of another person behind them that drew the vampire's ever observant attention, even if he paused before turning to face that new individual. His bright blue eyes brushed over the man's uniform to that small name tag on his breast that declared him the owner of that establishment. The announcement of that special gift meant just for them, however, caused his eyebrows to raise ever so slightly. After all, surely it was they who owed him their thanks! He had kept that store open and his employees on duty at such a late hour for them alone, of that even Sebastian was well aware. He watched as that young woman stepped up towards them, presenting that tray with two perfect renditions of those family crests created only of chocolate. It was...breathtaking to say the very least.

He could hardly help that gasp that left his lips, his gaze but briefly shifted towards Dorian's own, the Englishman almost unsure of what to say over the sheer generosity of that gift. It was clear that the man had spent a considerable amount of effort on the tempering of that chocolate - just for them. The vampire's own words of praise near immediately followed the Italian King's. It was almost a relief, that joy that blossomed within the small Frenchman at those compliments. The man was altogether pleased to inform them both the intricacies that had gone into the creation of those two animals, the sheer process of it all almost astounding. In truth, he'd never considered all that went into those delectable treats he was often eager to consume. But this? The amount of work and dedication and thought that went into this? Even Sebastian found himself uncertain of his ability to nibble on such treats. He was almost thankful for Dorian's quick thought, that request to box those chocolates seemed to be readily accepted by the shorter Frenchman - only for the man to wish them both a pleasant evening, a sentiment Sebastian made every effort to return.

It was only once the pair had properly said their thanks that Sebastian returned to his initial quest, moving to the next display as he commented softly, those words clearly meant for the fae King alone. "Those were bloody amazing, Dorian. I can't believe he worked on those so long for us." Even despite that near year he had spent at Dorian's side, the pair had never been prolific enough or stepped out of the house near quite enough for Sebastian to become accustomed to that sudden desire that seemed to afflict others to gift royalty with such things. He had gotten used to the fan mail, and to the sudden way others changed at Dorian's name. He'd even gotten used to the way staff often went out of their way to ensure their happiness but this was something else entirely. Even so, his gaze slowly refocused upon that second display as he contemplated those chocolates within this section he not only wanted to taste but to ensure Dorian had a flavor of. His careful consideration was interrupted only by the fae Monarch's voice. His blue eyes briefly shifted towards his fiancee, his head tilted ever so slightly to the side as he mused on those very works that artist beside him would surely be capable of creating. That sudden announcement that he'd succeed only if Sebastian didn't take to eating them all, however, brought a warm chuckle to his lips. "That sounds like a fair challenge." He commented in a nearly teasing fashion. "Perhaps when we return home you could try, hm? We can get some of their chocolate bars to melt." He nodded but briefly towards the numerous stacks of bars of pure chocolate on the opposite edge of the store, the vampire entirely willing to encourage his lover to extend his capabilities to such an unusual and dearly loved medium.

It was, however, the sight of those buckeyes that quickly captured his attention away from that new idea, the vampire entirely content to finish the filling of his bag whilst Dorian wandered towards that lounge area in the corner of that brightly lit room. It was only once that small bag had been near filled to the brim with those chocolates that the vampire wandered back towards the Monarch's side, altogether pleased with all of those choices he had made. That grin of delight was still present upon his features as he settled next to his lover, that outstretched hand only bringing that flutter of excitement to him as he considered those objects resting near the top of that bag. "Hmm....maybe try a bit of this. It's an English favorite. It's called English Toffee." He broke off a small bit of that hard brick, placing that piece within his lover's hand. He broke off another small piece of that bar, placing it within his mouth to savor that familiar and altogether luxurious flavor of chocolate and caramel. This, he decided, was surely worth leaving that bedroom.

His gaze shifted from that bag only by the approach of another of that staff members, that box handed to the fae Monarch. Sebastian offered that young woman a warm smile before his attention turned back towards that bag, fully intending to indulge in just one more piece before Dorian's voice coaxed his gaze. "Hm?" He inquired at the sound of his name, his head bobbed easily enough at that offer to see what it was that had occupied so much of Dorian's time. "Of course." He watched as Dorian reached into his pocket to fish that golden hue phone from the depths of it, that photograph shortly presented to him. For a moment, the vampire merely stared blankly at that screen, that chocolate dipped pretzel stick brought to his lips as he glanced up from that phone to the Monarch. That explanation came shortly after along with that realization of exactly what he was looking at. This was their family crest - one uniquely their own. It was...endearing, to say the least, that Dorian was already considering them as a family and all that would come with their marriage and yet, this too only served to bring about those same concerns he had quite near freaked out about in Arlo's care - ensuring his lover was happy and that royal protocol was met while also keeping that promise to his father.

Sebastian reached up to pull that dangling rest of that pretzel from it's place between his lips, setting it back on the bag. "I...I think it looks lovely Dorian." He answered softly, pausing only as his hand reached up to run through his hair, the vampire almost...uncertain of that topic he had been trying so desperately to avoid in a truly British fashion. This was surely the first time he'd began broaching all that would surely change with their union. "Um...would I need to...uh, update my homes with...this?" He inquired, his hand tentatively rubbing at the back of his neck. Those lions of his own family's crest was a large architectural part of that home in Belton, the vampire entirely uncertain if this change might so break that promise he'd made upon his father's deathbed. He knew well that such a shift in insignias was the norm, particularly amongst those in higher classes and yet, those lions had been his father's legacy, one he'd been tasked with keeping alive for as long as he could. That promise, apparently, was one that meant far more to the vampire then he ever spoke of before and yet, Sebastian found balancing Dorian and the memory of his father far more stressful than it surely should be, his heart surely betraying him in that singular moment.
