Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

we all fall down like toy soldiers

Pancakes. It'll be easy she said, hardly any work at all. Make it from scratch she said, don't worry its easy. Add some strawberries to mix it up, make sure they're fresh she said.

Finn drummed his fingers against the countertop staring at the mess he had made, they always made it seem so easy and even when he'd asked Lore she'd assured him it was. But the concoction in front of him was anything but easy, he'd cracked one too many eggs and he was pretty sure one had fallen on the floor and he was currently stepping in it. Good thing he was still barefoot. This is apparently what happens when he tries to do something nice.

He rubbed his hand over his face, cursing at his forgetfulness at the flour that covered them. He was sure he was covered in it. He may have also added too much salt and not enough baking powder. He may have switched those around actually, he wasn't quite sure. He alternated between adding milk to his concoction and taking a drink of it afterwards and eating a strawberry or two when he couldn't figure out what to do with everything else.

How did one 'beat an egg?'

He was supposed to add two teaspoons of butter, or was that tablespoons? The letters always confused him, so he added an entire stick just to be safe.

Did he really need the egg?

Deciding to forget his meager batter for the time being he slid his way over to the pans, pulling one down and shrugging at it. How was he supposed to know which one it was? He pulled the biggest one down and stuck it on top of the stove, content to just stare at the piece of metal as if willing it to do something.

Maybe he should try and beat the egg. But how did you 'lightly' do it? Deciding he should try and figure it out, he used one of the eggs he had previously cracked on the countertop and started to stick his fingers into the gooey mess. Maybe if he just kept pressing on the yolk it'll do what he wants it to do. Did someone really think it was a good idea for him to be around food?

All because he was trying to be a nice brother and make breakfast. Sighing he bent over, resting his chin in his hand as he poked at the egg again. Was it beaten enough now?

Deciding he just couldn't figure it out he trailed raw egg out of the kitchen and towards his brothers room, flipping the batter-covered spoon in his hand like a weapon. If he was awake, then so was Dav. No choices.

He cracked open the door, peering in to make sure that he was still sleeping before pushing it open more. He almost paused in his pursuit and as quiet as a mouse only whispered, "Dav." Too low to be heard, but...if he asks, he did try right? Church gave him pause, the cat was curled around his brother who held onto the cat like it was a lifeline. He shook his head, displacing flour to sprinkle across the floor. Still, that didnt deter him. With an almost apologetic shrug at the cat he let the spoon fly to hit Dav.

Rise and shine, sunshine.
