Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

pull me towards you and we start to dance

dance to the rhythm of your heartbeat

In Willowhaven, and surely even in the city of Sacrosanct, Beylani was just another woman. She was used to being nothing beyond another face in the crowd, blending in so well with that quiet yet warm disposition that she went unnoticed by many with great ease. An ease so great even that if she were to simply up and vanish without any rhyme or reason, the young woman was almost entirely certain that she could be easily forgotten - perhaps not by Ellie or Miya, and maybe even Andras, but definitely by the rest of the world. It would almost be like she had never been there to begin with. Even back in her hometown, she never did anything to try and stand out, and she was fairly certain that it was this lack of being bright or boisterous that had managed for her to go most of her adolescent life lingering in the background while her peers were driving out to the woodlands dancing to loud music in the bed of those hiked up trucks, illegally obtained beers and liquors poured into those red dixie cups as everyone laughed and had the time of their lives, or as Brittany and Jordan would always call it, "partying country style". Beylani had never been part of that scene nor had she ever really wanted to - not that she even stood a chance with her parents and how involved they were in her life which she had always been thankful for. They hadn't been severely strict with the blue-eyed blonde by any means since she'd never really given them a reason not to trust her or show that she wasn't capable of being a surprisingly sensible youth with a sense of what was acceptable and what wasn't, but they'd set in place a curfew and ground rules like any decent parents would, and like any mindful daughter raised to mind those restrictions and not go testing them, she'd contentedly obliged save for that one night when she'd nearly lost her innocence to a guy that wasn't going to stay in her life. Sure, before Brayden and even before Dusty who she hardly even considered her boyfriend looking back to her freshman year, there had been boys who would flirt with her. Yet even then, she couldn't remember any of them ever having called her "beautiful" or "gorgeous", even when she was confident enough to admit to herself that she was pretty. Maybe not beautiful despite what her family always told her, but she was happy with how she looked and always has been. Besides, what good were words of flattery when it was easy enough to guess that the user was only looking for something that she wasn't keen on giving to just anyone? If she was going to take that plunge, she wanted it to be with someone who actually wanted to stick around in her world, not some guy with clear intentions of leaving that small, rural town for bigger and better places.

Walking beside the fae man with her hand in his, baby blue eyes glance up at him and she can see the curiosity dancing across those hazel depths, and for a moment she wonders for perhaps there had been a flicker of something. Surprise maybe? It all melts away as quickly as those baritones reach for her and she can't help the shy smile that finds blush-colored lips, that flush finding her cheeks in that moment when he goes on to say how he would demand Brayden why it had been that the boy hadn't given Beylani the world. It touched her heart as so many things Andras did tended to do. She can't help wondering just what those former peers of hers would think if they met him, the unknowing keeper of her heart and captor of nearly every one of her thoughts or dreams. Brayden was truly a boy in comparison to the fae man she shared today with, finding it impossible to think that the two could ever be more opposite to the other. Brayden was a country boy to the core, big red pick-up truck covered in mud and all while Andras on the other hand was refined and charming, a man who clearly knew how to make a woman feel like she was the only one in the entire world. She'd laughed with Brayden before, they'd held hands and kissed before. That was what couples did, after all, or else they would have really just been friends more or less - and not even that friends with benefits type of friends. And yet, when she laughed with Andras, it was so much warmer. It was so much brighter, and it seemed to come from somewhere entirely new. When he took her hand in his, it brought to her a warmth that she hadn't ever felt in those fleeting moments when Brayden would hold hers. It had almost felt like something that was just expected to happen, like it was an unspoken way of trying to claim her as his and no one else's, but with Andras it felt like something so much more. Even if she was simply imagining things, it gave her that feeling of bliss, of belonging, and she was hardly ever ready to let go. And when she and Brayden had kissed, they'd been small and lacking in the same overwhelming sensation that stole the young woman's breath away that she eagerly surrendered to last night beneath that starry sky. She'd never known what it meant to kiss someone and feel those sparks fly, but last night, it had been even more than she could have ever imagined. There had been desire, a fire set in her soul that still burned softly beneath the surface. She could have sworn that she had seen that same wanting, felt that same passion in him. Even just the way that he spoke to her, the way that his gaze would soften or illuminate with delight or something deeper, it was all like nothing she'd ever felt with Brayden or Dusty. It was something that she couldn't help feeling so certain she would only ever feel with Andras... even if she could never make him feel all that she did even now.

Pausing only briefly, he pulls her against him and that flush rises in her cheeks even more and she feels her heart beginning to race within her breast as it always seemed to do whenever he would bring her slender and slighter frame to press against his. He then lifts his hand to cup her cheek gently, hazel depths burning as they lock with baby blues as those gentle words fall from his lips. Her own gaze softens tenderly, that smile soft and affectionate dancing across her lips as she leans her head ever so slightly into his hand. He was right. Just as her mother and father had been, but when they came from Andras... And when he professes to her that he thought her wonder, beautiful, and incredible, she could almost melt into his touch. Rendered speechless, all she can do is smile up at him and yet she feels that the look in her eyes, that tenderness spoke more than any number of words ever could. He leans forward to place a gentle kiss on her forehead before pulling away all too soon to give her that devilish grin that encourages her own to grow before they close the rest of the distance between them and the village. When he replies to her next words, she can see a frown upon those handsome features as he teases her gently, chasing away any of the faintest traces that might have bene left behind by that somber thought that had flickered through her mind then as she smiles warmly up to the fae man, listening as he carries on, explaining almost exactly how it was that his home made her feel. There is a soft smile that finds him then, his gaze growing ever softer as she presses closer to him as he releases her hand only to wrap that strong arm around her in an embrace she could happily stay in for the rest of the day. There was a deeper meaning to his next string of words and she can feel all the truth in them so much so that she feels almost as though she was glowing beneath them."There's little that I wouldn't give to call this my home, too. You are very lucky", she says softly in return before they decide on trying the food before anything else. They stop by that first stand and she is so absorbed in the sweetness of that golden treat that she doesn't notice that brief shift in the fae man, nor the amused looks of the fae folk that walk past them, the only movement catching her attention that gesture as Andras runs a hand through his hair that causes her to give him a curious glance though she says nothing about it before smiling down at her again, this time giving her a playful wink that as a fleeting note of laughter tumbling from her lips, but before she can say anything, he is then taking her hand and guiding her to the second stand and again she is overwhelmed with the amazing flavors of that kabob. If only she knew where she might be able to get fae food in Sacrosanct! If there were fae folk there, then surely there had to be some hidden little shop that sold such delicious treasures? As she tells him how amazing the taste of that perfectly cooked meat was, he responds with a serious note in his words that nearly has her halting mid-chew before a chuckle rumbles forth from him as he teases her and she can't help but laugh gently in turn.

He gives a shrug at her own teasing words as she tells him he would have to wait, though her baby blues glitter excitedly at those nearly bribing words that he offered her with that devilish grin."Ice skating? I've never actually done that before...", she contemplates for a moment."Yes, well then I suppose we might have to do that after I decide to let you see it", she smiles impishly at the man while the walk ever deeper into the village until they come to the heart of this wondrous world he was sharing with her. Her excitement only grows as they stop amongst the crowd that had gathered around the dancing faeries, finding it near impossible for her gaze to not try and follow the bright and smiling faces, laughter singing into the air along with the beautiful music that made her feel so alive and happy. She wonders then if perhaps it was simply because of it being fae music, simply for the fact that she couldn't say she'd ever felt that pull on her body to dance before. When she asks him if he danced, he turns those hazel depths down to her, surprise flickering across his handsome features as he replies only moments before he's pulling her into the heart of it all. She feels his hand falling to her lower back almost like in the movies she'd seen as a little girl and almost reflexively she lifts her hand to rest on his shoulder, He takes the box from her other hand, placing it safely into his pocket as he takes her hand in his own. He promises not to look and that impish smile finds her lips once more."Good, I want it to be a surprise", she replies playfully, laughter dancing in her eyes as they begin to move, Andras guiding her every step as they danced. It was a feeling unlike anything she'd ever felt, ever thought she would feel, and her own chiming laughter rings out with his as they move so easily to the music. The joy that she could see in his eyes, hear in his laughter... it only plunged those feelings for him ever deeper, caused those baby blue eyes to dance with all that she felt for him.

Speaking briefly just over the music then, Andras leads her away from the square, his chest rising and falling with excitement just as her own was. She smiles radiantly at him then, another gentle note of laughter falling from her lips."I've never danced before, not like that, and I absolutely loved the feeling", she beams brightly to the fae man. He is pulling her close to him again and she is happy to press gently into his side as his brings an arm around her once more, relishing in his touch and his nearness. Taking her hand, tenor tones announce that it was time for a drink, and that certainly sounded like a good idea after that exhilarating moment that was just yet another that she would treasure always, so she nods in eager agreement as she follows him. When they stop before another stand, she is handed a brightly colored drink that smelled so sweet, she could already tell she would like its taste. She glances at the fae man to watch him quickly drinking his own and she follows suit, feeling a warmth that could only come from a sort of liquor, and though it hardly resembled that of wine, she found herself enjoying it quite thoroughly. They stand there together for a moment and the blue-eyed blonde always for her gaze to drift over the village once more, admiring the colored lights and décor that seemed to exist in every small place. It is when she feels his gaze lingering on her that she turns to meet those hazel eyes illuminated by such joy that she hadn't quite seen before, revealing to her yet another part of Andras that she knew would only make her fall further for him. His tenor tones reach down to her and surprise flickers across her gaze as he mentions that he'd gotten her a gift, her heart beating a little faster now as she contemplates for a moment those options he'd placed before her, something glittering in his gaze at the mention of needing to leave the city for a while."As tempting as ice skating is, I can't help but wonder what this gift might be. You certainly didn't need to get me anything, though, Andras...", she answers softly. Oh, how he knew to summon forth that curiosity she simply could not ignore."Although it would be nice to spend some time with just you for a moment or two, so I can give you your gift", she continues on gently after a fleeting pause, the young woman unable to hide that wistfulness that laced her sterling voice. She'd take every chance she could to have him to herself, especially when she knew that such moments wouldn't last forever.
