Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
The idea of taking Tobi to a doctor did seem reasonable. It made since to take him to one. However, what doctor would be willing to look at her mate? Surely her mate would gnash his teeth and snarl at one that came to close to him. It wouldn't shock her at all that he would leap of the table and sink his claws into the man or woman that intended to only help him. What sort of Doctor should she take him to? There were so many different types of professions, doctors that helped with speech, doctors that helped with trauma, doctors that helped with mental instability, there were just too many. Raven was terrified to think that one of those doctors make consider him too far gone and they would lock him away in an asylum. Raven didn't need to hear someone admit that he was 'crazy.' He wasn't crazy. He was broken, but he wasn't too far gone. Plus, she had no idea how his other half would take it. They had never talked about it before. He never straight up asked her to get him help. Maybe it was something they could talk about or even discuss. She loved them both, but she didn't want to hurt any of them. Deep down, she didn't want to lose them both. Nodding she gave her friend a polite smile, to reassure him that he hadn't misspoke or unsettled her.
The Fae King was still getting accustomed to the modern world. Would he even know what sort of Doctor she should take her mate to? Taking another sip of her tea she couldn't help, but giggle as he made an approving comment about her handsome mate. It had taken quite a while for the woman to feel much more a peace and settled within Dorian's home. Holding a golden tea cup wasn't as nerve-wracking as before. She hadn't broken the cup, so all was well. Listening to his suggestion on invitations and how to choose them, was actually quite good advice, the woman hardly knew the importance of selecting the right invitation to send out. Who knew that the kind of paper or color you use meant something. Perhaps she will have to speak to her closest friend about them. Serafina would surely know what sort of invitation they should do. Hearing that Dorian would do her a great honor and walk her down the aisle was answered with a wide smile. She was pleased to hear that he would be willingly to walk her down the aisle and give her away to her mate. Dorian was the only male friend she had, that did not belong to her pack, and that particular honor was something he deserved to have. No one else deserved that chance. As she rubbed his dog's ear she muttered softly that she hardly believed she would ever get the chance to do this. Hearing the Fae King speak so profoundly about her caused her cheeks to turn a shade of pink and then red. Was she embarrassed by his praise? Yes, but not in the humiliating sense. Keeping her fingers steady against the dog's ear, she replied quite quickly, delving more into her past for him.
Her eyes would leave Dorian and shift towards the other side of the room where another man stood. Her nostrils would flare as she caught his scent. It was familiar, it was Fae, and yet he had an uncanny look that reminded her of Dorian. Those silver eyes looking remarkably similar to that of Dorian's. Were they brothers? Dorian had never spoken about his family. Then again she hardly said anything about her own until now. When Dorian introduced them Raven was still befuddled by it all. He looked far too young to be Dorian's brother. Not only that but he was an Ambassador? How was that possible when Dorian was the King of Italy? Italy no longer was ruled by a monarchy, the people actually voted to abolish the monarchy, and instead voted for a Republic. It all didn't make sense. If the Italian government was going to allow the monarchy back then this Matteo should have been called King, not Dorian. And then there was the mention of an engagement. She was wearing the ring on her hand, but she could have already been married. Most likely the man had overheard their conversation. A bit rude really if he was eavesdropping.
It was an innocent question. A question she hoped she wasn't overstepping. She threw her friend a small smile as he declared he would be walking her down the aisle. But when Matteo spoke Raven felt not uncomfortable, but uncertain. As he settled himself leaning against a chair and drinking his tea, the lupine watched him closely, unable to determine him at all. He wasn't a threat. That she knew. However, there was just something...off, and she couldn't put her finger on it. The mention that her wedding would be perfect and that the world owed her a perfect day, was met with a firm nod. Yes, after everything, she deserved on her special day to have a very perfect day. The world owed her even more than that. In fact the world owed her and her mate so, so, very much more. It was his mention that she did not remember him that really put her off guard. How would she know him? Abruptly she spoke aloud, her voice calm and polite pointing out her confusion.
