Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

Arlo's feet scuffed at those stairs as he took them nearly two at a time. The vampire juggling that heavy paper shopping bag with one hand while trying to balance that phone against his ear with the other, reassuring Abby he was still there as he attempted to navigate upwards. Teleporting himself back to his floor would have been significantly easier and yet those powers still needed a little tweaking to say the least. People he could transport with him easily but several inanimate objects (like a bag full of shopping) tended to fly off in every direction. Why the hell it happened he hardly knew and yet it wasn't as if he knew another teleporter to ask. Hell, he was pretty sure even Seb wasn't going to know how to fix this. Practice he supposed. Maybe he just needed to dedicate some time to actually practising and yet in the wake of that wedding his music career had all but been launched into the stratosphere. Suddenly everyone wanted to know his name. Suddenly bands were giving him offers again not only to play with them but to write for them. His old songs were on those music charts all over again and while it was mostly exciting to hear his old band on the radio a part of him was almost, well, resentful for the royalties he knew they were getting from it. The sooner he and Seb sorted out those legal matters the better and yet- that meant a trip back home. To his parents house. With Abby. God. The thought was almost too much.

"Yeah, Babe I'm still here. Sorry I'm trying to get up the stairs. I was thinking I could come by later tonight, yeah? I've got a heap of offers for gigs and I thought maybe we could go through them together. There are a couple in the next city over, reckon we could make like a whole weekend of it if you wanted. Hold on, I can't do these stairs anymore. I'm going to teleport just stay on the line. I don't think it will disconnect but honestly I really don't know..."

That affinity took over him easily then. Arlo abruptly disappearing from his place on the stairs to reappear outside the apartment he readily assumed was his own, the vampire oblivious to the notion he was not only at the wrong room but on the wrong floor in turn. The man readily distracted by that phone conversation and his attempts to make sure everything had stayed in his shopping bag. It looked like most of it had. Maybe. Where had that fruit for Abby gone? His bright blue eyes narrowed slightly at he made some effort to fumble for his keys, balance that bag and hold the phone- his elbow bumping against that already opened door. That look of surprise finding his features then. Had he left it open? It wouldn't be the first time. Hell, it wouldn't be the first time someone had broken in either. Not that he had much that was worth stealing. Half his furniture was made of cardboard, his phone was with him and that TV was so old and heavy he'd be almost impressed if anyone could carry it down the stairs to steal it to begin with. Really, they almost deserved to keep it for that effort. Arlo stepping readily into that room a moment later.

"Ahhhh, babe? I'm going to have to call you back. My apartment suddenly got way better furniture and my roommate like....stopped being asian."

He waited for Abby to assure him she'd be home later tonight before he hung up the phone, Arlo taking several moments then to glance around that space before his blue gaze fell onto that slight, delicate looking blonde woman. Why was she in his apartment? Why had she....moved everything? She had to be a friend of Mi's right? She didn't look like she worked at the hospital but hey, what did he know about nurses and doctors? Well, this was awkward. His feet shuffled momentarily, one hand lifting to run through those near-black locks of tousled hair as he regarded her. Might as well introduce himself right? That confusion still clear on his features all the same.

"Are you a friend of Mi's? I'm Arlo, her roomate. Why are you in my apart- oh."

The sudden sight of the window readily seemed to halt the vampires words all at once. That view distinctly different to what it should have been. He was too high. He was on the wrong floor. This teleporting business was not all it was cracked up to be. Great. Now he was breaking into some woman's house, not that he really broke in, the door had been open he'd walked in at best and yet most people didn't take all that well to vampires being in their homes. Arlo managing an almost lopsided grin then in some attempt to appear non-threatening even despite the teeth such an action naturally revealed.

"Maybe I should er....start again, eh? I think I might be your downstairs neighbour. I guess I wasn't paying attention and I went to high and I mean, I was trying to carry all this stuff and I was on the phone and I've lost the fruit I swear to god I had it in here. This happens sometimes. I thought this was my place. Oh, don't freak out I'm not a vampire. I mean, I am but I'm not. I don't eat people. I..."

It was near a rush of words. Arlo making every attempt to explain himself and prevent the woman from screaming or calling the police all at once. His words cut off by the sudden appearance of several apples and oranges near raining from the sky to fall around him and onto the floor. Those unfortunate fruits having finally managed to find their way through that teleportation, it seemed, only to fall out around him. The man flashing the young woman an almost sheepish grin then. Amusement finding his words all the same. Arlo entirely inclined to good nature. Even if he half anticipated the poor girl to run screaming from him in the next thirty seconds.

"You should probably lock your doors. Just saying. And...well, welcome to the building I guess. Help yourself to an apple or orange I suppose....."
