Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Abigail Hughes
Truly, Abigail appreciated Malia's attempt to reassure her of this pack she was going to see, not that she knew anything about a pack in the first place. The whole affair made the girl a touch nervous. She was not a big crowd sort of person. Oh no, she liked calm, quiet, solo sorta environments. This was....something else altogether. Her head bobbed ever so slightly at each name Malia had offered her though. Nadya. Kids (uh oh). And cool man. Check, check, check. The moment she stepped into that home, however, all that pep talk in the world hadn't prepared her for the hurricane of the energetic young mother and her equally energetic kids. Couch girl seemed equally as thrilled. It was like this whole bonding reuniting ceremony thing that Malia and herself weren't privy to. Maybe they shouldn't be here? Her hazel eyes shifted briefly towards the woman at her side, noting the almost standoffish fashion in which Malia stared at them. Were they not friends? Errr....greattttt. She glanced at the glare given to her boy Lady Hurricane, providing her a wholly meek hello as she contemplated her escape. Such considerations, however, hardly lasted long before cool man himself made his appearance, like some regal King with the way he walked down those stairs. Briefly, she couldn't help but to wonder if everyone stared at Dorian when he was all Kingly the same way all these girls were all staring at Frost....maybe she'd have to ask him sometime....
That teasing tone to Malia's voice as she eyed her Alpha man prompted a weak simper upon the young woman's features as she watched the man interact with....couch girl. Scarlett. Right. Scarlett. Those introductions between the two canines were altogether brief but even Abigail could tell that Malia was nooottt sold on this idea. Scarlett, on the other hand, seemed more than pleased to meet their acquaintances. That was kind of nice. At least someone around this house was friendly! Those how-do-you-dos, however, finally turned towards the young panda herself, that baritone voice commenting softly on her friendship with Malia. It was Malia's own voice, however, that seemed to cut through those questions as the woman promptly declared her like....the cutest thing ever. Abigail could scarcely help that rosey blush that filled her pale cheeks. "Um, it's nice to meet you all." She declared, glancing over the group at large only for Frost to offer her his hand. "Oh." That word softly left her lips as her petite fingers fit carefully into his. "Thank you for the invitation. I'm sorry for my intrusion." Abigail offered Mr. Cool Kingly Frost in return, her sweet voice altogether polite. After all, you always had to be polite to your host, didn't you??
It was that comment of her hair, however, that caught the young girl off guard. She was relatively used to being the only person with that auburn color. In fact, she had been the only person in that town she grew up in with such a color. It was hardly this that caught her off guard but rather, the inquiry on weather or not she was a VIKING. A VIKING! That soft snort from Malia drew her gaze before the girl nodded quite firmly. "I promise, I'm not a burly man thief." She offered him solemnly. That's what Vikings were, weren't they? She was definitely, definitely, definitely NOT that. She didn't want her host thinking she'd come by to snatch his shinies! Not that she expected he really had any to begin with. The home was nice but...it wasn't filled with shines kind of nice like Dorian and Sebastian's was. Even Oliver had that filled with nice shinies kind of vibe. In fact, the more she considered the more it made her question her whole King notion of Frost all over again. After all, what kind of King didn't have shinies?
His attention hardly lingered upon her long, however, before Frost turned towards Scarlett, asking to hear her tale of her adventure. Abigail hardly expected that sudden announcement of presents and yet the girl remained where she was as those gifts were passed out to Miss Hurricane and her kids. She glanced briefly towards Malia as Scarlett approached them with candy in hand. Neither woman had anticipated any sort of gift and yet....here Scarlett was providing to absolute strangers! It was....unexpected, to say the least. "Oh, thank you." Abigail uttered as a box of chocolates was handed her way. Malia's comment of company with her tended to result in sweets, however, brought a giggle to the youthful girl's lips and yet, she was quick to hush herself as Scarlett spoke of all the places she had been and all the things she had seen. Abigail could hardly fathom visiting all those places, even though her father tended to travel perhaps just as much. That sudden announcement that a vacation would be fun, however, only caused her own gaze to drop to the piece of candy Malia suddenly offered her. "Thank you." She whispered softly, plucking that piece from the girl's fingers. Unfortunately, before that candy could even enter her mouth one of the children waddled up to her, showing off that stuffed animal in her arms.
Abigail's eyes widened ever so slightly as the child announced that the jungle cat was just like her. Oh dear God, they were all predators! She was like..absolutely certain she was going to just die when even the KIDS could eat her! A weak simper crossed her features before she shook her head. "Umm...no....I'm not like you." She answered, unsure if the child was talking about being a giant cat or....a were...or....well....either way she was definitely different from them, that was for sure.
