Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Samantha felt her anxiety lessen the moment that she heard the sound of Aiden's voice in her ear. Even his simplest reassurance that he would be there caused the blonde girl to take a deep breath. "Okay. Please hurry." She dropped her phone back in her purse at the telltale click that her boyfriend had hung up. There was a huff of air that left her lips as the feline continued to bat and prod at the hole in the futon. "Go ahead," Samantha grumbled under her breath. "Make sure it's completely unusable." The faerie girl moved towards the table, kneeling beside the fractured pieces of wood. She sighed, going over to one of the boxes that held her clothes. She emptied one out onto the floor, going over to the wooden table once again and tossing pieces into the box. She tried hard not to look over at Nadya, her anger bubbling up over the surface in a way that was unusual for the girl. It wasn't much, her apartment, but she'd worked hard for it. She'd earned it. To see it destroyed...
Fortunately, the knock at the door gave the faerie girl a distraction from the tears that were threatening to build behind those blue eyes of hers. She rose to her feet, going to the door and opening it. The relief rose in Samantha as she stared at her boyfriend, a tiny laugh escaping her lips as she felt his confusion rise up and the question that followed. She opened her mouth to answer the man when the feline pranced over to them, the large cat forcing the faerie to take a step back and away from the man. She shifted, looking down at the ground as the feline curled herself around the man, clearly trying to communicate with her brother. Samantha merely turned on her heels, not sure how to react to the situation at hand. She went back over to the futon that Nadya had abandoned, moving to stuff the pieces of the futon back into the gaping holes. The scratches hadn't been much, but Nadya's continued pawing and rolling on the mattress had seen most of the inner stuffing on the floor. After a few desperate attempts to shove it back in, the girl merely sank to the floor, tugging the quilt around her shoulders. She didn't look up at the panther or the Alpha male, instead trying hard to pretend she was alone as the tears spilled down her cheeks.
It was a stupid reason to cry, and she knew that, but the disaster that was her apartment caused her chest to ache and the tears to come. It was all she had, and all she'd gained, and here she was back to the beginning without anything to show for it. It didn't make sense that Nadya had done this. To the girl, she couldn't understand the inner turmoil of the feline. She'd seen Aiden in his own Were form, the man as sensible as he was as a human. She'd seen Raven, too, and neither of them were capable of destroying everything that the young woman had in her apartment. She felt rage towards the feline, rage that the girl was trying so desperately to contain. Nadya was her friend, right? In her inner turmoil, she was unaware of the way the feline wrapped around Aiden like a house cat or tried to bite at him. In fact, she didn't even bother looking at her boyfriend. She was sure he would likely just take his sister and go back to the Ark, and truthfully Sam wasn't sure if that was what she wanted, or if she wanted to go with him.
