South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Nadya Tetradore

It was a blessing to have an afternoon off from the twins. She loved them to pieces but the terrible twos was proving difficult to get through with her daughter. Even though Nadya was relieved to have some time to herself she was also a bit nervous. The small family had only moved into the Chimera pack household a few days ago and it was the first time she had left them. It was true Frost was there so she didn't have to worry about their safety but Nadya also understood his lack of caretaking skills so had asked their old babysitter to be there. She hoped that the arrangement worked out.

The ebony jaguar shook its large head to clear away the thoughts. She couldn't let it consume her time. Her lean muscular form stretched out, claws extending to dig into that soft earth as her tail lashed out behind her. Frost was the only herbivore in the pack so Nadya had taken it upon herself to provide the fresh meat for the other's meals. Nadya's ears pricked forward for any inkling sound of prey as she wound through the underbrush of the forest. It had to be big enough to feed them at least two or three meals but small enough that she could carry to the butchers. Frost may have been the only herbivore but he was also the Alpha, and her boyfriend, which meant she respected his feelings about the bloody aspect of her species and wouldn't butcher the animal in their home.

Snuffing and snorting caught the feline's attention and immediately hunkered down against the grass. Slowly she stalked forward until the brush cleared just enough for her to see what the source of the sound was. Hogs, a small family of them with older piglets. One of them would make a great choice. In true feline fashion her rump shimmied in anticipation before leaping abruptly out of the bush at the animal of her choosing. Squeels and snorts filled the air as the hogs began to scatter with Nadya whipping and turning to keep up with one of the piglets. The beasts were fast and not unsurprising the mother pigs were vicious. That Nadya could relate to. But these beasts were just that and her pack needed meat.

The panther quickly swiped out and caught the piglet's back feet causing it to trip and tumble into the ground allowing Nadya to quickly close her jaws around its back. Nadya's ears pinned to the back of her head as she growled and hissed around her prize and turning her swip paws to the angry mother that incessantly charged at her. A jaguar's jaws had the strength to crush through skulls and was only bested in strength by a tiger or lion simply due to their size. Nadya utilized that strength to bite down and with a crunch shatter the piglets spine. Only then did Nadya drop her prize to fully face off the adult pig. It took a few times of chasing the pig away before it realized the piglet had stopped screaming some time ago and was dead so abandoned it.

With a heavy gruff Nadya settled onto her haunches with the dead piglet at her feet. Slowly she brought up a paw, licking at it before rubbing it across her muzzle to rid any remnants of blood. She was pleased with her catch knowing she was providing for her pack. It was silence without the hogs around now, blissful silence from any toddler demands and noisy toys. Though being alone hardly lasted long in the growing city didn't it? Nadya was upwind so couldn't catch a scent but her ears pricked up hearing the telltale crunching of the forest alerting to the closing presence of another.
