South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

The University of Sacrosanct offers some of the top programs in the nation with its outstanding campus and specialized faculty. The University places a high focus both upon educating future generations but also on research to help revolutionize the world. The University welcomes the talent of students across the world to enroll and unlock their unlimited potential. With applications from across the nation, classes fill up quickly.

we built this city on broken glass

He was aware of Nadya stirring beside him within the bed, that wakefulness touching his gaze for several moments as Frost merely pressed closer to his girlfriends figure in search of that warmth. That kiss to his bare shoulder and the utterance off his name, his true name, stirring that simper to his lips even in that state of half sleep. That soft assurance Nadya intended to take the children out was met with a sigh of protest, Frost unwilling to have the woman's body abandon him and yet he knew well of the woman's devotion to children. A part of the stallion aware that even he would always come second to the needs off her offspring- and he so hardly begrudged her that. His head nodded simply before twisting slightly upward to press his lips to the bottom of her jaw in that morning greeting before Frost easily collapsed back down on that bed, sleep tugging him back beneath its hold as Nadya left, a part of him listening still for those simple sounds of the woman moving about as she got her children ready and slipped out that back door and onto the trail above. Frost hardly worried for them in any sense. Nadya travelled those trails often, he himself patrolled them in the evenings and sent Malia to do the same. That singular track that led to his own backyard one the stallion was content on keeping clear at all times. He had lived in this world long enough to be cautious even within the perceived safety of that city. He hadn't been born a fool, after all, and he hardly intended to be one now.

It was near on an hour later that the stallion finally rose from that bed, that snow white hair falling over the violet of his gaze as it always did, his fingers running through it in some haphazard effort to tame it as his slid those jeans into place. The cold metal of that amulet at his chest tugged at his skin, the man rubbing it absentmindedly before letting it fall into place. His mind already fixated on those tasks to be done for the day. Frost hardly anticipating that sudden....feeling that all but tore through his figure. The pressure of that pack bond forcing a sharp intake of breath to his lips. Fuck. He could feel Malia's presence, the woman hardly in any distress as she slept at the other end of the house. Those threads that connected him to Scarlett and Claire equally silent in the absence of the women. Leaving only one. He hardly bothered to reach for any sort of shirt or jacket, the man striding from that room to fling open that back door, his bare feet crunching on that snow and yet the cold had long since lost any ability to bring him any true pain or discomfort. He could feel the hum of that bond as it near burned against him, that equine assured Nadya would be aware he was coming. For all that he was, for all that he was not, he was not the sort of man to allow those things that belonged to him to come under assault. That protective instinct a dangerously potent thing within the man for those worthy of standing beneath it. That irritation all but seething within his veins. If any harm had come to Nadya there was little any could do to spare themselves from his aggression then. He controlled himself so well- most of the time- those little slips in his nature rare. The stallion near fixated with exacting that very control over himself and yet there were moments in which he so hardly needed it. Moments in which he was content to be that very thing they had made him to be.

His own shift was sudden, the man leaping forward to allow that human skin to rip and tear, that bone to crack and sinew to rewire itself into a significantly larger frame. Frost demanding that speed and precision from his own form in the same fashion he demanded it from others. The man hardly pausing to consider the pain such a sudden shift forced from him as those giant hooves carried him forward. His equine figure far faster than his human limbs could ever carry him. That sound off those heavy, feathered hooves were dulled by the snow, Frost hardly needing to lessen his speed in an effort to for silence as that snow flew either side of the war horse. He hardly bothered to stick to that trail, the stallion cutting through the trees and undergrowth until his breath rose like ribbons of smoke from those flared nostrils, his pale, white coloured-fur seeing him blend with that frosted landscape and yet he hardly cared whether they saw him coming or not. That pack bond drawing him closer and closer still.

His hind legs easily propelled him up that final small rise, his ears lacing back into the thickness of his mane in that single outward sign off his own displeasure as his lips pulled back from those sizeable teeth. The stallion taking barely a moment to assess that situation before him. In the end it hardly mattered. He could smell Nadya's blood, coating the ear with its salty, metallic taint. Such a crime surely punishable. The man seeing little need not to exact that punishment here and now. The Hunter's before him were not Council Hunters in the least, the pair perhaps hardly recognising him. How unfortunate. He could not see the children and yet their scents lingered strongly enough, one of the men content to shout to his companion at the sight of the towering stallion. Nadya released as they turned to face him, one holding a syringe of some sort and yet Frost hardly cared to consider its use, those muscles coliling to send him forward- to do exactly what he had so been designed to do and how he relished in it. Even if he pretended otherwise. Even if he worked so hard to control it. His size simply to much for two relatively un-armed beings to handle. He knew Hunters. He knew them well.

His neck snaked forward easily, teeth parted to seize the first of those men by the neck, the sheer force of that bite sending the man into screaming wails, Frost content to merely lift him from the ground as he swung his head violently to the side- colliding that screaming man with a tree. That soft throat falling apart with the action and the force as his body was slammed back into the ground- that throat hanging open to stain the earth around it. The other Hunter taking several steps from his fallen companion as he was all but dropped from the stallions bloody lips. Frost's content to wander forward with equal slowness. The horse making no effort to go around that fallen body, those giant hooves walking atop it, crushing that bone and sinew as he did beneath his sheer weight. Leaving an utterly broken body in his wake.

How often the world laughed at hoses. An animal for girls. A pony for rides and yet how little they understood of just what one inclined to be a predator could do. Frost as calm and purposeful as always in that singular moment as that Hunter back further away and Frost merely pressed further forward. That blood staining his previously white pelt. It was easy to reach for his affinity than, sizing the body of the retreating man, feeling for that mastery of temperature and sending that single, sudden rush of cold to his mind. The Hunter tumbling into a heap, the man hardly dead and yet that paralysis of sorts was easily induced. That equine skin gave way to human form once more. Frost's jeans still in place on this occasion as he strode quietly across that clearing. One hand reaching down to seize the collar of the shirt of the second Hunter, that dropped syringe crushed under foot as the stallion simply proceeded to drag him back across the ground to where Nadya lay. The Hunter gasping in that effort to fight through that burn in his very brain.

He released his hold on the Hunter's shirt, leaving him to lay there a moment as he knelt easily beside his girlfriend then, his arm lifted to wipe that blood from his own lips as he reached for that toothed trap embedded within her flesh. Frost single minded and wholly purposeful in that moment as that heat was summoned to his own hands. The man pressing them against that lock mechanism to melt it apart and release her limb.

"Shhh, stay still, Naja."

His hand slid smoothly beneath her leg, lifting it gently from that trap to lay it back down on the earth. His free hand lifting then to rest upon that bloodied wound on her leg before those violet eyes shifted from her to the Hunter and back again. God that pain. He could feel it seering into his own leg as his flesh split apart and Nadya's healed, the man gritting his teeth against it. Frost refusing to allow those sounds to fall from his own lips as he lifted his hand away. Nadya's leg entirely healed- his own now wearing that wound and yet he was so hardly done. The stallion reaching silently for that Hunter once more. Perhaps he would enjoy that wound he seemed so keen to inflict on others. That would wake him up a little wouldn't it? It took barely a moment to rest his hand on that man now. That wound transferred once more. That Hunter's lips parting in those screams as his own flesh begun to fall apart, to tear and open and bleed. That wound taken from Nadya to Frost and now Frost to the Hunter in turn.

"That feels better."

He uttered simply. Frost lifting from that crouch then to grasp the Hunters shirt a second time and force the sobbing man into an upright position, Frost turning him to face Nadya then. Holding him before the feline now, ignoring those sad little cries to please let him be. How unfortunate he had so little heart left to care.

"This one is yours Naja. Do as you will."
