South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Maybe this princess could save herself.

That sounds like a pretty good story too.

Samantha was certain that her anxiety about meeting Kit again would drive her insane. It certainly wasn't that the other fae was unpleasant. No, the opposite was true, really. Ever since that chance meeting in California, Kit had been on her mind nearly constantly. She had enjoyed their day together in Sacrosanct, but it had been nothing compared to their night together in that small seaside town in Northern California. And though she'd liked him - God had she liked him - what could she have offered him? She rarely stayed in a city for more than a few weeks, and he was on a hunt for his brother. As a result, the two of them would so rarely be in the same place. What kind of a relationship could she offer him? What could she offer him besides that one night stand? Sure, she had exchanged numbers and the promises that they would meet up, but truly she hadn't been sure it would happen.

That was, until the empath had felt that flutter of emotion in the pit of her stomach. At first, she'd been sure it was nothing. A residue of her own emotion, manifesting in some weird, new way. But no, that spark of emotion was from a... and it was inside of her... which could only mean she was... And it had to be Kit's. It wasn't as if Samantha had never spent an evening with someone in the time she'd been traveling, but it hadn't been recent enough to consider anyone else. No, it had to have been his. So she'd trekked back to Sacrosanct and called him, setting up that coffee date. She'd just tell him, she'd decided. She'd tell him and she would understand if he wanted nothing to do with the situation. Though she knew so little of her own kind, Samantha certainly knew that this was a rare and potentially dangerous situation. She would not blame him if he chose to walk away from her.

Samantha glanced up at the jingle that so signaled that the door had opened, her eyes locking with the green eyes of the fae man she was due to meet. Her affinity seemed to flare then, her body all too aware of the emotions that so surrounded the handsome man. Those nerves, the anxiety, the lust. He was anxious to see her, and she could hardly blame him. She had given him so few details upon their meeting and yet he'd still agreed to see her. Samantha's own anxiety seemed to double as he moved closer and took the seat across from her. "Hello Kit," She said with a tiny, nervous smile. Her affinity combined with that anxiety that he felt giving her the tiniest of glimpses into the thoughts of the man across from her. Those thoughts racing and yet when she saw the glimpse of her own naked form, her cheeks flamed and she reached for her water if only to give herself a minute to compose herself.

Samantha had no idea how she would get through this conversation. She fully expected that the man would bolt the instant he found out about the situation that she had found herself in. It would hurt, but Samantha would not blame the other man if he so choose to flee from this. The fae girl had just opened her mouth to speak when they were joined by the waitress. Her eyes remained glued upon him. He was so handsome with those dark girls and emerald eyes. He looked so much like a prince out of one of the romance novels she'd loved once. She wished that the situation might have been different if only that she could have the chance to properly date him. Without all the pressure. "Hm?" Samantha said then, only aware that he'd spoken by the way his green eyes remained steadfast on the girl. "Oh, um." She reached up, pushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "I've been good. I... I've missed you." The words seemed to surprise the girl as they fell from her own lips, and yet she found they were true. "I need to talk to you about something. And I really hope you're not going to run away the instant I tell you."
