South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.
Home of: The Cavalry

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

With Each Step I Take...

As I lay under the tree I found my vision wavering and blurring, and found myself hoping I didn't have a concussion; which probably was the case. 'My bad luck just seems to keep spiraling downwards. Wait scratch, that it's already crash landed and exploded.' I correct my thought as I hear very soft but very close footsteps from behind one of the trees, and reach for my knife that is hidden up my sleeve. I grasp it, but keep it sheathed; if they didn't want to fight, I was in no condition to start one. My focus on the tree was suddenly broken, and turned to someone else's presence nearby. I didn't turn my head, instead follow the person's moments through hearing; in fact I barely reacted keeping my body free of tension, as if I couldn't hear her.

I heard someone coming our way, a man by the sound of his steps; though noteworthy that they had a certain smoothness about them, especially compared to my father's mindless stomping about that I was used to. I was already on guard around the girl and now it looked like I might have to be even more so if the guy decided to approach, which seemed to be the case; human or not, I didn't trust any of them. Raising my head as the girl spoke, I was caught off guard by her appearance; that of a little girl. It enough for me to loosen my grip on the hidden knife, only to retighten it after realizing what I had been doing. The girl, despite her young appearance, wasn't ordinary by any means; even with my inexperience I could tell that, however I still had trouble actually identifying what she was. I had just opened my mouth about to reply to the girl's question vaguely; when the guy, who was now resting against a tree on the outskirts of our little gathering, spoke up. What he said triggered my memory to the paper that the blasted doctor had left to explain only a little bit more on what I had become. Vampires, both of them. I had only seen a few of them when walking the streets of my old city soon after my recovery, thankful those ones I saw before they saw me. "Hmmmm, you don't say thanks for the head up." I say with a rather hollow laugh. Under normal circumstances I may have asked the girl if it was true, even if I knew the real answer just to see how she would react. I let my eyes move from the girl to the older looking male, but letting my hearing remain largely upon the girl. He speaks again, the last of his words may be faint but I could still hear them. "Perhaps you are right, guess in my rush to get away from the road I forgot I still bleed the same as a normal human." I rummage through my backpack to find a black t-shirt. I tore the shirt and rolled up the leg on my sweatpants, revealing the tail-end of my dragon tattoo in the process and the injury in the process of healing itself, before tying the torn fabric tightly around my leg.

Only a moment after I finished my task did I hear the same footsteps as before this time more rushed, looking up I see a what I first thought to be a normal human; but I soon realized that was an improbability. I momentarily sharpened my eyesight recognizing pointed ears, it was a small difference for sure, but I came to have little doubt that what was standing before me was a fairy. She mentally growled at the doctor for not giving her more information on who to trust in this type of situation, though the fairy didn't necessarily sing social butterfly, so why reveal herself unless she felt it needed. "I suppose you're right, but that's easier said than done; this leg isn't in the fairest of condition you see." Despite my words I swing my backpack onto my shoulder, grabbing my sheathed knife from my boot wanting to keep the one up my sleeve hidden, and wince while I use my good leg to push myself up the trunk of the tree behind me.
