South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

The University of Sacrosanct

IN THE DARKNESS THAT SURROUNDS ME

In the darkness that surrounds me
I see my own special hell

This was an extremely delicate situation. One that Cole should have known would occur sooner or later. Living a double life never pays off, in movies and in real life. In fact, Cole realizes now that while he had been trying to protect Carson from any harm or pain, by living in this fantasy he has done just that; he has hurt Carson beyond repair. This hits home for him, as his blue eyes begin to glisten in the moonlight and he chokes back the tears. His voice cracks, inching slower and slower for that damn shoe in Carson's hands, "Babe, please..."

And then it happens. Carson was surprisingly fast. Really fucking fast, as intense, sharp pain hits Cole over his head. It's so intense that he actually loses his sight for a few seconds, seeing nothing but blinding white light. Like death was welcoming him. It wouldn't surprise him if that shoe was the weapon for his death. Put in the hands of his scorned, crazy boyfriend. He doesn't even say anything, or curse out loud. He can hear Carson try to make a run for it around the other side. Cole slips onto his knees, his hand up trying to reach for anything. HOLY SHIT! When his sight comes back, and briefly he rubs the spot where he was hit, Cole stumbles up. He then looks at his hand as he slowly goes around the truck. In the moonlight, he can see the black goo that was his blood.

Cole gets around the truck just as Carson flops onto his back like a defeated turtle. I HOPE THAT FUCKING HURT, YOU BITCH! He sees a window of opportunity and quickly runs over, straddling him. He then goes to make sure there would be no more hitting with anything and grabs Carson's wrists. Cole expected to ride his lunatic boyfriend like a rabid bull until he got it out of his system and accepted the defeat. They may have been similar height, but when it comes to weight and well, masculinity, Cole won that round. Carson was too damn girly, but that didn't mean he wasn't able to get in a good fight. A little bit of blood was trickling down the side of Cole's face now as proof. "Are you fucking done?! Are you done?!" He speaks softly, but full of stern as he puts his face close as could be. He lets out a sigh, "Cheating? Really? You honestly think I'd cheat?! Fuck you, Carson!"

He really thinks I would do that?! His blue eyes are so bright with tears (though none have actually started running down his cheeks just yet) and it's hard to tell if he was crying from the pain of his split scalp or the fact that his boyfriend thought him so low and unfaithful. "You're gonna listen, and listen fucking good because I am not going to repeat myself. If you stop acting like some crazy bitch, maybe I'll even let you up but right now, you're going to be sat on and your wrists are gonna stay in my hands. If you're gonna act like a child throwing a tantrum, you're gonna be treated like one!" He stares directly in Carson's eyes. "First off, I'm not cheating on you, you fucking idiot! And this isn't the end of this topic, we're gonna come back this!" Shit, we're gonna need couple counseling after this, aren't we? "Remember when I told you I was a hunter? Like a bounty hunter? Except I don't go after people who skip bail or run from the cops. I know this is gonna sound crazy, but you know it in your heart that there is more to this world than just what we see. There are ... bad people, monsters and I get rid of them!"

Instead of going for the whole truth, even if it sounded crazy, Cole decides to tell half of it. That girl wasn't a bad person, or a vampire or even a witch. But telling Carson that didn't seem like a good idea. He was already hysterical and telling him 'hey, your boyfriend is a serial killer!' just didn't seem right. At least, not right now. "I'm not even human like you! See, look, look!" He takes Carson's right hand and uses it to trace the wound he made with his little red Dorothy shoes on Cole's head. The wound was nearly gone and completely healed by now; just a thin little line and drying blood. "Feel that?! You just did that but it's nearly healed and gone! See Carson? I would never do anything to hurt you ... that girl, she was a rogue Witch, casting curses and lying to people. She was hurting people and I had to get rid of her."

His hand that he had used to feel his scalp was now gripped lovingly, his fingers trying to interlock with Carson's. He still sat on top of him and his hold on his other wrist was now becoming loose, Cole has the look of a begging puppy. Please believe me, please. "I'll answer anything. Please, just believe me!"
