South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

South

The rhythmic drum beat was intoxicating, the pull of it enough to keep the young fox at the edge of the crowd, though she certainly did not feel brave enough to go into the crowd. No, instead she would stand on the edge of it, watching Kato grin and dance to another woman. The jealousy that struck her was almost like a nausea. It was paralyzing. The way he grinned and wove around with her was hard to watch, though Edie found herself unable to turn her head. She knew, coming here, that she was the replacement for the wife and child he'd already lost, but to see herself be replaced in the dance was like being slapped. He hadn't even thought to wake her, to see if she wanted to join him? Would he have even told her about this had she not slipped out in here? Somehow, Edie didn't expect that he would have. No, it was just another reminder of how Edie didn't fit in here, and how coming here might have been a mistake. She would never be able to compete with the culture here, with the natural pull. He would feel it here, just as Edie herself could feel the pull to Sacrosanct. It was faint, but if she focused she could still feel that pack bond, reassuring herself that Frost and Claire and Calliel were still at home for her.

It was only the tug on her shorts that snapped Edie out of her sulking, the girl's eyes flitting downward to the boy that stood near her. Her brow furrowed at the language he used, immediately frowning at him. "I'm sorry I only speak Eng..." She started, relieved when he immediately translated for her. Dancing. It was one thing that Edie loved to do. She'd been trying to entice Kato into going to a club with her and taking her dancing, though she couldn't think of a way to ask him. That this child was asking her made her smile, especially with the excitement that seemed to radiate from him. Though she was upset and wanted to hide, Edie couldn't say no to him. "I would love to," She replied as he grabbed ahold of her, hardly allowing her a chance to disagree with him anyways.

Edie was, frankly, surprised with herself. She'd never felt comfortable around children before. The children back in England were ones she rarely interacted with. She had no siblings, neither did Beck or any of the people she tended to hang out with. She was older, hanging out only with Beck and his friends, and was rarely bothered by the younger members of the pack. In Sacrosanct, she didn't interact with any children at all. But there was something so enticing about Kato's nephews and the other children of the herd, she couldn't say no. She was happy, then, to be pulled into the crowd with him, a laugh on her lips as she took his advice and moved her body to the music. It was natural to move to it. Unlike the dancing at clubs back home, there was no right or wrong way to move. The music affected everyone, and no one seemed bothered by the girl who had joined them.

In fact, the woman had been so entranced with the dancing that she was unaware of Kato's presence beside her until he spoke, the woman remaining moving as she looked at him. "Clearly," She sighed, grabbing ahold of Mosi's arm and spinning him into a twirl that caused a laugh to leave her lips. "Luckily Mosi invited me to the party, since you seem to have forgotten to." Her tone was bitter, though the frown on her features didn't remain as she continued to move to the beat with the child. It was only when he mentioned his sister did her eyes leave the child again, falling onto the beautiful girl that Kato had been dancing with. "Your sister?" She asked, her tone full of relief and a bit of joy. So, it was his sister. It didn't make the woman less annoyed by the lack of invite to the party, but it did help to ease the jealousy and anxiety that ate at her. She looked down at her dance partner, who seemed to understand, before she let go of him and took Kato's hand. "Thank you, Mosi," She said kindly, offering him a big smile. "You're a fantastic dancer."

She took Kato's hand, squeezing it as she stepped in closer to him. "I asked you not to leave me," She said to him softly, looking up at him. "It was scary to wake up and have you not be there." It was perhaps the most honest she'd been with him about her emotions, but that was what she was supposed to do with her boyfriend, right? "And then I saw you with... and I thought... and my brain just..." She bit her lip, looking up at him sheepishly, desperately trying to convey the anxiety that she had felt. "Your sister, right?"
