The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.
Bartender Raylin Chike
Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

After she had that awkward run-in with her former alpha Caesar, Malia would admit she distanced herself a little from Frost and the rest of the pack. It was an emotional night for her and she hated how vulnerable she felt crying in that forest after the other coyote brushed her off and then called on the pack to chase her out of their territory like a traitor. She was a traitor. She'd turned her back on them and left them to their own devices just so she could find out more about the human world and what she was. She felt selfish and lower then dirt. But that wasn't Frost's fault. He had given her purpose and shown her how to survive. He'd clothed her and fed her and offered her shelter and security. She always felt his presence in her mind and over time she'd gotten used to it and actually found comfort in it. It was suddenly nice to know she wasn't always alone in her own thoughts anymore. She'd been hanging out in her coyote form more and less at the house, spending her nights in the woods and walking the streets during the day. Her hair was a mess and her eyes felt red and heavy from lack of sleep. She probably looked almost as run down as she had the night she was found by Henry, minus the lack of clothing. She did keep a few spares on hand, sneaking into the house sometimes to go pack a small bag and leaving the dirty ones on the floor to come back to later. She was sure Frost wouldn't mind. She just needed some space to clear her head and surely he wouldn't mind. Now sometimes she felt that pull that meant he was looking for her but she had learned how to close it off and keep him out when she felt the need. She would be found when she wanted to be, not before. But tonight she was hungry too so she thought she'd steal down to the kitchen really quick to grab a few bites of something in the pantry before she took off again. She'd already packed a back and slung it over her shoulder, tip toeing downstairs to the kitchen. She made a quick ham sandwich and stuck it in her mouth, holding it like a dog as she tip toed back up the stairs and around toward her bedroom. She was checking over her shoulder to make sure she didn't hear anything behind the closed doors when she felt her back hit an insurmountable wall. A solid warm breathing wall. Yelping in surprise, she bit down harder on the ham sandwich to keep from dropping it and spun around to come face to face with none other than her alpha. Trying to give a sheepish smile around the sandwich, she slowly reached up to grab it. "Heeey, Frost. What's up?" |
