The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

With one hundred floors and a 125-foot spire, the Starlight Tower rises high above the Sacrosanct skyline. More than just a landmark, the Starlight Tower offers a unique mix of restaurants, shops, and offices spaced throughout the building. Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
"I shall have to find you a nice crown then." I assure her. "While I am trying my damnedest to be a charmer tonight, I also use it as a title of respect. I was always taught that any heirarchy's leader is to be known as my queen or my king, respectively. Not that I've met a lot in my lifetime. They tend to keep themselves unavailable to outsiders and strangers. Probably smart on their parts but I'm glad I got to run across you." I grin. "Say the word and I'll show my value. As for Dorian, he'll rue the day he dared to challenge me. Of course I won't hurt him. I'l just humiliate him a little. He'll be spared out of my respect to you." I give her a wink. Laughter escapes my lips. "You sure are persistent. You just met me and you really want me to join you just like that? Isn't there a test or something I should pass first?" I nod as she tells me of her childhood. "It sounds like it. I always ask for top rooms when I get motels with upper stories. It relaxes me to be closer to the sky somehow." She seems surprised by my question but it does the trick. She's already relaxing in my arms as we continue to dance. It's coming naturally to her now and I smile to myself, glad that I could give her this memory. The night she dances in the clouds literally. "Well you know you could always finish school. At least then you could live your dream of fashion design. It's not like you don't have enough models for your projects back at the Burlesque." I smirk impishly. My face gets more soft, my eyes suddenly more serious. "Have you ever thought about finding your family? Explaining what happened? Of course there's always the chance they'll put you in a loony bin. But then again, what if they believed you? What made you decide to leave them behind?" There's no judgement in my voice, only curiosity. It seems against all instinct to go through something so tragic as she went through and not to want to run home to her family and get to "safety." Some kind of survival instinct must have told her to go the other way instead, to write them off as gone and start her life anew. I like hearing everyone's perspective. "If it's too painful, you don't have to explain." I add on, knowing this could be trudging on sensitive subjects. |
