East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'm more alive than I've ever been

The auburn-haired woman clings to her lover far more desparately than was absolutely necessary given their immortality, a fact that does not escape her even in moments such as this; however, humanity was slow in its exodus and so too were the fears that had haunted Isolt's mortal life. And so she clasps his hand, his shirt, in a manner that should have caused her some measure of embarrassment and yet she feels it not. There were far grander and more pressing issues at hand than the matter of her own pride. "I know, but...," though her protest falls upon willfully-deaf ears, her body and that of her companion suddenly sent careening from the relative safety of the bridge and into the frigid waters that course in an unending liquid ribbon beneath it.

Isolt is swallowed wholly by the waiting maw of the river's tide, Damon's hand lost to her in the passing of the barest moment to leave her alone in the softer tide of the deeper waters. She does not immediately draw herself to the surface, though, sparing a moment to marvel instead at the muted underwater oasis she finds herself within. It was a peculiar sort of peace one found beneath the water's surface, the raging of the tide above forced into quietude in these depths, diminished to naught more than a pleasant drone in the aquatic ether. Isolt allows herself a moment of this peace, placated by the unnecessary breath she no longer requires in order to enjoy scenery such as this before drawing her body upward and towards the significantly more chaotic surface waters and out into the cool evening zephyr. She peers about for her companion, surprised and relieved in the moments that he sweeps her into the safety of his arms. "Yes," she coos, "but I still love to hear you say it." Isolt falls into the caress of her lover's lips as she always has, kissing him as if it were the first and the last time she would be able to do so.

Surprise etches itself unto her upturned features as both vampires alit upon the shore, a glorious and beaming smile offered to Damon in response to his inquiry before Isolt ventures forth to survey the offerings laid out for their shared enjoyment. Lowering herself to the blanket upon which their veritable feast sits, Isolt tempts her companion with the curling of a single beckoning finger and an enigmatic, vaguely-sensuous simper. Slender fingers work diligently to dispense two flutes of blood-red wine, one of which she offers to Damon. "What should we toast to?"
