The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

With one hundred floors and a 125-foot spire, the Starlight Tower rises high above the Sacrosanct skyline. More than just a landmark, the Starlight Tower offers a unique mix of restaurants, shops, and offices spaced throughout the building. Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
Honestly, the small woman didn't think she would see Ludo again. Seeing him within the restaurant made her pause, not entirely sure it was him. Calling out his name, he raises his gaze to meet hers and she is finally certain its him. Allowing that smile to break out across her face, she moves over to him, confusion flickering across her features as he responds with the name 'turtle'. That was not what she was expecting. Frowning slightly at him, she approaches the table before pushing those midnight locks off her shoulder. Before she has a chance to comment on it, he's questioning her quickly. Tilting her head, she reaches up and grasps the strap of her messenger bag, her pale hands bright from the cold. "I've never been here before, I was just stopping by," she explains with a faint smile adorning her lips.
As she questions him as to why he was here alone, his answer is satisfactory as she gives a small dip of her chin. "I am, I was just about to go sit down and then I saw you sitting here alone. You aren't waiting for someone are you?" she asks, suddenly afraid she might have interrupted his plans for dinner. Before she can let that horrified look etch too far into her features, the waitress returns carrying a beer and setting it down on the table. The small woman eyes her as she sidles out of the way, feeling a bit uncomfortable by merely standing by the table. Before she can excuse herself, Ludo is offering he buy and her eyes widen in surprise at such a generous offer. "Are you sure?" she asks a touch quietly, but she makes no move to leave. Instead, after a moment's hesitation, she pulls the chair out, taking off her messenger bag and slinging it across the back.
Sliding into the chair, she sits across from him, that small smile still toying at the corner of her lips. As she gets herself settled, she can feel her limbs begin to thaw out, though her petite frame is still frozen from the biting cold from outside. It would take a while yet to get her feeling at ease within the confines of the restaurant. Ludo's next words have her chocolate gaze raising to meet his, "Absolutely! I really enjoy most foods though," she responds, her eyes brightening at the topic. "I've never had much luck cooking it; I made a beer stew once and I don't know what I did wrong but it tasted funny," she frowns at the memory, remembering how long she stood in the beer aisle deciding what beer she needed, the recipe didn't state what would work best.
If she had, had someone taste it, she would have realized that there was nothing wrong with the stew; it merely tasted funny because she put beer in it. The woman did not drink much and hardly knew what many alcoholic beverages tasted like, she wasn't accustomed to the hoppiness of beer nor did she have a pallet for such things. She's brought back to the present when he questions her, inquiring if she were cold. She almost denied it, except for the fact that there were small shivers still racking her frame. "A little, but I'll warm up," she responds easily, though she watches Ludo remove his jacket and it over to her. When he offers it, she flushes with embarrassment, her cheeks now holding a pink hue, "Thanks," she mumbles quietly, reaching for it and slipping it over her slender shoulders.
His jacket practically dwarfs her and she must roll the sleeves up on both arms several times before her hands can rest easily on the table without being covered. By the time she gets settled, the waitress is returning to the table, asking her what she wants to drink. Panicking slightly, her eyes dart around for the drink menu and she scans it quickly, "Er, I'll just have what he's having," Miya finally states, embarrassed she hadn't been prepared for the waitress. The woman doesn't seem to mind as she bustles off to retrieve her drink. Turning back to Ludo, she lowers her chocolate eyes to the table, "I don't really drink, to be honest I've only ever had a sip of wine before," she admits with a small shrug, remembering that night not too long ago with Lani and Ludo and she had merely ordered a water for herself.
Allowing her gaze to travel upwards once more, she eyes the handsome man sitting across from her, "I didn't think I would see you so soon after Halloween," she smiles shyly at him just as the woman returns with the beer. Thanking her with a dip of her head, she accepts the beer and grasps it with both hands so not to spill. The waitress soon leaves, giving them a few moments to gather their thoughts and order food. Lifting that chilled glass to her lips, Miya takes a sip before she makes a face, attempting to hold the cough in that so threatened to spill from her lips. "This is disgusting!" she exclaims, horrified as she sets the beer on the table and pushes it away from herself, as if the distance would rid the taste in her mouth. "How do you drink that?"
