The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Arlo James
See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch
He hadn't been the one messing with the power in the club had he? Could he even do that? Were his powers that extensive already? They couldn't be. God he hadn't wanted that power at all. It was Patricks power, not his. He'd never asked for it. Maybe there was some way he could give it back. Could you do that? Maybe he needed to find Malek again. The guy seemed to know something about Crusniks and yet even he had admitted to knowing very little about their powers or what they were capable off. Arlo had heard the rumours, legends really, they showed up online or in occasional books. Not that he was ever much of a reader, but still. He knew what those legends said about his own species and their powers. Skills Arlo was mostly sure he didn't have, or at least, didn't know he had. The young vampire near oblivious to Damon's own internal considerations of those assumptions that such power might be directly attuned to his hunger and own wavering self-control. Arlo still very much attempting to find his way in the world let alone his place within it. Powers had been the least of his concern. He'd all but mastered those webs and even that teleportation had come easily but this....was something else. This he didn't know how to handle. In fact, he was rather determined to continue to deny it. Arlo failing to see that value in himself that Damon had already observed so keenly. The younger vampire choosing to remain firmly in denial about that power incident entirely as his head shook again. Damon offered a near pointed look then as Arlo assured him one final time it had to have been one of the girls taking over that club. Arlo entirely capable of being as stubborn as he was determined when it came to denial. Damon at last seeming to accept it. Arlo relaxing slightly more in his seat.
It was that mention of help with his control that seemed to see his gaze lift upward once more, Arlo's head tilted slightly as he seemed to actually considered that option. He did need help he supposed. At least some. Could it really hurt to have an older vampire show him something? Damon was part of a coven, Arlo still entirely wary of that and yet so far he hadn't exactly shown any desire to drag Arlo back to them and let them rip him apart. Hell, it wasn't like Damon hadn't had the opportunity all night. Arlo still mostly sure he could simply teleport away from him if he needed too. Still, offers of help within the vampire world were few and far between. Arlo mulling over that offer a few moments longer before nodding. It couldn't hurt just to try could it? Malek had tried and failed, Sebastian had- well- Sebastian just let him feed which was helpful in a different way. Maybe Damon knew something Malek hadn't? Maybe he had a different method? Arlo at least willing enough to see what the man had to say. Surprise finding his features then when Damon promptly announced they were starting now.
"Now? What? Hey!"
That comment that he had 'had enough' saw that scowl return to his features and yet he hardly expected those women to wake up as quickly as they did. One of them blinking in surprise before asking Damon what had happened, the other vampire smoothly assuring her she'd passed out from dancing and Arlo had been attempting to revive her like some sort of hero. Alright then. He supposed he could have done that. Amusement tugged at him now as the woman clasped his hands in thanks before declaring she needed to leave, her companions beginning to wake up then with those murmurs of hang overs and having drunk too much. The girls clearly readying themselves to leave a little before Arlo was willing to let them go. He was being greedy he supposed, he knew it, he'd already fed and yet still they were his prey all the same. The younger vampire eyeing Damon then as he shifted in his seat, Arlo stirring slightly with the clear intention of reaching for that last girl when that electricity seemed to discharge from his body. That pain made him gasp as he all but fell back into his seat in wide-eyed shock. The pain suddenly subsiding.
"Jesus Christ!"
What in all that was holy was that? Half the bar having turned to look at him then as he blinked in further surprise. Had one of the girls done that? That hunger rapidly having subsided in the wake of that simple shock at being, well, shocked. That confusion was clear on his features before he frowned once more. Arlo still not exactly ready to let those girls go. The young vampire seemingly content to shake off that bizarre experience in typical youthful style before standing up once more, those words on his lips ready to call out to one of those girls again before every nerve in his body seemed to burn once more, slicing through that hunger all over again. Arlo, this time, making every effort to still take another step before it seemed to increase. The boy abruptly teleporting if only to break that hold and land back in his seat once more. Irritation seeing his lip curl now. Damon's sudden words seeing his gaze jerk sideways as he eyed that smirking man.
"You rat-bastard. Is that you doing that!? What the hell are you doing that for! That fucking hurts!"
