East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The soft murmur of that intoxicatingly feminine voice prompted a small simper upon the Englishman's features. It was a curious thought indeed, that perhaps this very meeting was, in some fashion, fated. And yet, Sebastian had become far more accustomed to that omniscient deity, if she had a face. Those very threads that stretched out before him for the vampire's plucking afforded him a glimpse into that predetermined destiny. In a way, Sebastian had quite near joined the ranks of those fabled goddesses, able to manipulate those very threads that connected soul mates. Though this night might have been destiny - they, he knew, were not. Sebastian had already identified his own true love and married the man in turn after several months of intense deliberation. She was not meant to be his and yet, since Fate herself had not yet found a soul to pair the young woman to, Sebastian had little qualms of reigniting that very game they had once so eagerly danced. "Perhaps someone is, it would be rude of us not to listen, hm?" He inquired, that charming grin hardly faltered and yet, even the Italian Prince was not inattentive to the simple fact that she had clearly been eyeing that dwindling crowd upon the corner side of downtown Sacrosanct.

He was pleased, truly, that whatever she had been looking for hardly held a candle to his own presence, one she seemed all too willing to tolerate. His dark blue eyes drank in the sight of the woman's petite frame, altogether aware of the way in which her own gaze hung heavily upon him. That breathy sound of her laughter only further served to please the man and yet, Sebastian could hardly deny that Carolina was right. A small, almost innocent shrug crossed his shoulders. "I'm afraid you have me all figured out, Carolina." Sebastian responded in an almost teasing fashion. It should have been easy to pull her back into that heady wordplay and yet, he was all too observant of the way in which she so seemed to hesitate. It was as if her very body was pulling her back from taking that final step back into his embrace. A few years ago, he hardly would have hesitated to so employ his affinity for those lustful desires to tear down those barriers and yet, now, their game had changed just ever so slightly, enough so for even Sebastian to waver.

The vampire was ever vigilant in the fashion her own attention seemed to deviate from him, only to eye those men that lingered somewhere behind him. He had almost forgotten of their presence, though truly, such was a testament to their own aptitude at their job. They were meant to be little more than shadows, at least, until some fool-hearty soul toyed with the idea of striking out against the undead Englishman. It was her comment alone that prompted his own gaze to turn over his shoulder towards them. It was with a certain measure of poise that Sebastian brushed away their existence, merely commenting on their presence as little more then a security blanket of sorts, even if the vampire hardly thought he required it. Still, he could hardly fault Dorian for near insisting that team accompanied him. Even he was willing to admit he was still adjusting to that new title as Royalty. He watched that bafflement cross her fair features, as if even she could scarcely imagine the danger that might require such an entourage. Frankly, he couldn't either. As a rule, Sebastian tended to stay out of harms way rather than step in.

Sebastian pulled his hand from the depths of his pocket, presenting the young woman with his open palm, ready for the taking. That flinch was entirely unexpected and yet, it hardly went ignored by the vampire, even if he failed to voice a syllable of it. Rather, the Victorian gentleman offered her a choice - to join him with the intention of little more than a distraction, or to pour out her soul to a listening ear. The vampire watched as she moved quite abruptly from the glass of that window behind her, his blue eyes scarcely deviated from that intense stair of her own. Her slender fingers intertwined within his own, his hand so entirely warm against the cool pallor of his skin. It felt almost peculiar, really, to have a woman's hand within his own after so long. He hardly dwelled upon it, however, as the sound of her voice pulled the vampire from those internal thoughts. A small simper brushed across his features before the vampire nodded ever so slightly. "Who couldn't?" The vampire commented, entirely willing to return that more playful lit to his English accent. He led her down the street towards those bars and dance clubs, entirely aware of the men that trailed in their wake.

The establishment he chose was hardly the most popular one on the street. It hosted just enough people to offer some level of ambiguity, whilst also not making it overly difficult for his own security team to keep an eye on him. It held enough noise that whispering those dark secrets hardly felt as intimate and yet, it still provided those quieter places, tucked away in little nooks and corners. It was that perfect balance that Sebastian sought and yet, as he led her to the bar, his vibrant gaze turned near expectantly towards her. "What suits your fancy tonight, hm?" He inquired, entirely determined to ensure she was properly at ease in that allure of liquor.
