Alexander hardly faulted the young woman beneath him as the rhino charged straight into his own cafe, shattering glass and destroying tables and stools in his wake. His lips pressed together in a small glimpse of annoyance at the prospect of having to
fix his ruined building, much less if the creature destroyed some of the
priceless artifacts that lined the walls further into the cafe. It was best that they simply coaxed the beast back out into the streets and dealt with it quickly, as far as Alexander was concerned. Such an animal had become more of a pest to him of late than anything else. His hand reached out, fully intending to call upon those weapons at his disposal when Calliel's foot stamped angrily against the asphalt beneath them, that singular sound seemed to carry over the rain that near soaked the pair to the bone, reminding the creature that the target of his anger was still very much alive and certainly unperturbed by his veritable temper tantrum. His eyebrow rose ever so slightly at the girl's ingenuity and yet, such a glimpse of satisfaction hardly lasted long before she attempted to
punish the Rhino, only leaving it to thrash around more at the support beams of the cafe. Great. Just great.
Alexander could hardly help the irritation within his voice as he provided her with those instructions, all but ignoring that apologetic look upon her features. That slow nod assured him she at least understood, even if she was uncertain of her capabilities to do as he requested. He watched as the rhino thrashed about, only to pause slightly as some resemblance of sight returned to him. His ears flicked, as if looking for something only to find nothing but silence reverberating around him. Alexander said nothing as Calliel took away the Rhino's sense of smell, his very silence the only hint of approval he provided her for now as the woman picked her way forward with care, entirely attentive to the form of the beast that moved towards the window, the frayed edges of the torn curtains danced around to serve as a pleasant distraction. For a moment, Alexander studied that scene before him, his hand slowly reached out only for his trusty spear to materialize within his very hand, prepared to be thrown. He knew well the creature's weak points, having already spent the majority of his night attempting to down the first of the pair. There was but one option to quickly see to the end of the creature and yet, it was distinctly
dangerous. Without careful choreography on their part, there was a good chance Alexander would find himself at the end of the rhino's sharp horn.
"All right Calliel." He muttered softly, his free hand gingerly reaching forward to brush against her nape in an almost reassuring fashion. He was attempting to keep her youthfulness and inexperience in mind, that maneuver he required of her surely more risky than anything she had done with Alexander's own daughter. "I need you to stay very, very still while I throw this on your right. You can't spook for me, okay? He's going to turn and charge at us when he does, wait till he is on course with us and then I need you to use your pain sensation to hit him on his right side. I want him to think we are over
there. While you do that, charge forward as parallel to him as you can get. I need a two-foot gap between your side and his. Can you do that for me?" He inquired, that spear at the ready as he shifted ever so slightly, easily moving within the position needed to best throw that spear to lodge itself into the Rhino's flank.
