East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It was the kind of day that called for action so Malia found herself leaving the pack house to wander te streets of Sacrosanct. She had no destination in mind but she was restless. The house party while Frost was gone was a little disappointing in that she didn't think the pack managed to get any new members from it and she got so distracted at Ashton being there that she kind of forgot to mingle so no new friends either. Maybe she could try again the next time he left town. At least Nadya had helped her clean up the house the next day and make it presentable again so he never even knew about it. Unless Nadya told, which, let's be honest. Malia hardly cared if she did. What was he going to do, demote her? Malia did like thinking of herself as the pack's Beta but sometimes she worried that she wasn't really worthy of the position. What if someone else could do better? But she didn't want to think about that right now. Today was about adventure and finding something fun to do.

When she saw the woman with short blonde hair looking through a trunk, she hardly thought anything of it, passing on by as she continued looking around and trying to figure out what she wanted to do for lunch. When wasn't she hungry, after all? She stopped at a restaurant window to glance in, seeing what the other people were eating but nothing looked appetizing. Too fancy. Was that even food? It looked more like something a dog barfed up. And ew, lettuce? What are humans, cows in disguise? Malia didn't get it, at all. When she turned away from the window, she saw the same woman from before ducking into another car now to grab some money. Scowling thoughtfully, she thought about calling out to her but decided against it. What if the girl wasn't doing anything wrong? She might own all those cars or something for all Malia knew. She was no car expert, after all. She hardly owned one of her own or knew how to drive one if she did.

More intrigued than anything, she watched as the woman then went to yet another car and start shuffling things around. Deciding she wanted to know what was going on, because she was bored more than anything else, Malia maneuvered across the street and walked right over to the car. Leaning her back against it, she turned her head toward the open door. "Find anything good?" Her eyes twinkled with mischief but when she breathed in, she straightened off the side of the car, eyes wider as she turned to the girl fully. "Hey, you're a Were! What kind are you?" A filter for her thoughts was never in the books for Malia and she didn't care much for anyone who might have overheard. Excitement was thinly veiled in her brown eyes as she waited for the woman's reply.
