East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The Macedonian man's blue-green gaze inquisitively eyed the majestic creature in front of him, his gaze landing upon the violet eyes that stared at him. He was hardly surprised that the equine gaze him but the briefest moment of his time before returning to the fallen cubes in front of him. Alexander shook his head ever so slightly, retrieving the cubes from the ravenous horse's reach. He heard the hissy fit of the steed, the slam of his hoof out side of the man's cafe hardly failing to reach his ears and yet Alexander hardly bothered to heed the stallion's frustration, fearlessly returning with an apple in hand. He watched with silent amusement as the horse's ears swiveled upon his head, his attention clearly directed upon the apple placed temptingly in front of him. If anything could be said about the Dark Hunter, it was that he was capable of being extremely patient when it benefited him. It had been so long since he'd been given the opportunity to be around horses that he was quite pointedly ignoring that instinctual part of him that warned that something was wrong about this particular stallion. The longer he stood there waiting with apple in hand, however, the longer he was unable to deny that nagging sensation and the moment he turned his attention inwards towards it was the exact same moment he noted that this creature before him was no mere horse.

A weak simper crossed his features as the apple rolled out of his hand and onto the table. His head shook ever so slightly, as if willing to accept this momentary win of the were-steed before Alexander was inclined to leave the horse upon his own, accepting to himself that this steed was surely not like the strong, majestic Bucephalus that he so dearly missed. He watched in mute indifference as the steed finished the apple, his muzzle raises, giving Alexander just enough time to brace himself before the horse's head butted up against his chest, sending him rocking ever so slightly on his feet rather then stumbling. Alexander had grown up around horses far too much to be pushed around so easily by one, instead his hand raising ever so slightly to gingerly brush his fingertips against the steed's outstretched neck before the creature disappeared all together. A soft sigh left his lips, the were-horses presence had some how managed to dredge up old memories and nostalgia that he had thought long sense behind him. He tried not to dwell on it long, however turning his back on the open window to return to the counter that he belong behind. He was a conqueror no more, instead settling for a Barista life style, or so he tried to remind himself.

Alexander reclined reached in the fridge to fetch another apple, biting into it himself as he leaned against the counter top, his thoughts drifting back to the past he tried so hard to avoid. He didn't notice when the sound of hooves paused out side the front of his door, nor did he notice that the were-horse was waiting for him until the large thud of a hoof collided into the wooden door frame of his otherwise glass door, drawing the male's attention. His eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as he moved around the counter top, stepping out into the cool night air. Alexander's gaze briefly brushed over the towering equine that stood in front of him, daring to take another bite from the apple in his hand as he inquisitively offered him a silent look that seemed to ask what exactly he wanted now.
