East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

For a few years Sacrosanct had been Ceara's chosen sanctuary, opening a business and running it quite successfully though restlessness had come over her in the months prior that she couldn't explain. The draw to succumb to her natural hunter's instinct was something she was unused to since her first few years as a vampire. Ceara had managed to ignore it, continuing her routine of memorizing her victims only to take a snack and send them on her way...until a certain someone had showed up in Sacrosanct. Although she hadn't run into her old mentor, the scent of her lingering around the outside of the Voodoo Room had been unmistakable. Ceara knew herself and her history enough that if the two had run into each other she wouldn't be able to keep control of herself. That fear is what caused the female to flee the city.

For months Ceara wandered before finally returning to Sacrosanct sure that the short attention span of her mentor meant the child had left. Even though she had returned, Ceara kept recused within her home in Anacosta Heights for the last few days with no real motivation to leave. That was until she heard the creak of the mail slot which was a curious thing seeing as nothing had ever been mailed to her. Her delicate fingers plucked up the invitation that had fluttered to the marble floor, hazel gaze scanning the words with faint amusement. She remembered the time in which she had thrown a party for the vampires and it had thankfully gone smoothly but the added fine print of any species welcome had Ceara a bit on the skeptical side on how this one would turn out. However, it didn't mean she wouldn't make an appearance. Damon had been kind and cordial, charming really when he attended hers and tempted her with drinking from that hunter; the least she could do was go to his party.

Ceara waited within the cool dark silence of her home as the sun set before donning her costume. There had been a few hours debate on whether to go in costume or not but it could be seen as an insult if she didn't even try. Dressed as Morticia Addams, Ceara stepped up to the building indicated on the invitation, the train of the long black dress gracing the ground as she moved. She wore her hair down naturally, the auburn tresses falling over her shoulders and framing the cut of the dress that dipped just between her cleavage. "Traded one undead for another I see." Ceara stated with a soft smile once taking in Damon's leaning figure just inside. She gently placed a hand to his upper arm. "It's good to see you again Damon. I do hope this party goes well for you." And with that she glided by him up to the main area to see who all had decided to attend.

Damon hadn't skimped on the decorations either. She was truly impressed by his detail to this party even if it wasn't exactly typical for a vampire to want to have a congregation of all species. Ceara scanned the area noting the new faces that had moved in while she was away. She took an offered flute of red wine from the bar, tipping it to her lips as she came up to the dashing Zorro whom had made a beeline for the bar as well. His scent alone told her that he was vampire as well. "You're missing the rapier." Her gaze traveled up and down his costume noting the lack of the pinnacle sword that Zorro kept. It wasn't a negative remark, simply a statement to a stranger in a rather not commonly seen costume.
