East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

For the better part of the evening the equine is at least content to recline within his chair, violet gaze merely lingering upon the mass of bodies before him, his attention failing to focus on any particular one. Raven, it would seem, had hardly failed to notice his arrival- the girl looking decidedly upset by his presence. Good. It was about time she reacted appropriately to something. Maybe her Alpha had finally taught her a little respect for those around her. Aside from the canine however, even despite his acquaintance with quite a number of the beings that moved around, Frost found he hardly had any desire to approach any of them. The arrival of Alexander- almost impossible to miss given his golden outfit, one the stallion suspected was indeed, actual gold- managed to at least hold his attention a little longer, watching as the man moved throughout the crowd. His relationship with that particular hunter was....unique at best, one that both irritated him and yet intrigued him all at once. He found the man demanding, disagreeable, ridiculously stubborn and above all- dominating. A series of traits the snowy-haired man is well aware exist rather potently within himself. It was there likeness in that regard perhaps, that had so destined the pair to be locked in something of a power struggle- subtle though it often was. Frost was hardly willing to act as any sort of domestic pet and yet be that same token Alexander seemed unwilling to be anything other then in charge- the pair yet to truly find a comfortable balance with neither fully content to yield to the other in any fashion- at least not yet. Frost remaining somewhat unwilling to admit that Alexander had, perhaps, won their last encounter.

Tonight however, Frost is content to leave his companion to his own devices, his own thoughts drifted briefly to Claire and Calliel. He had left both women at home tonight, the address offered should they change their minds and yet he suspects all the same the pair have simply decided to seat themselves in front of the TV Calliel had demanded he buy, while Claire no doubt continued to bake, his house a veritable bakery by the end of each week- the man often forced to give cookies and slices and cakes to his neighbours in some effort to decrease the stockpile Claire always seemed to have. Even he himself, with his enjoyment of most sweet things, could hardly consume the amount of cake the girl made. His gaze continues to wander lazily about the room, mind seizing on the occasional thought, the man still learning to master this power- one that had so far taken more practice then any of his other abilities. The only ability he had truly ever developed that had threatened to drive him mad with the continual hum of thoughts that never seemed to cease. What little of his violet gaze could be seen roved smoothly then onto Alexis, the girl dressed as some sort of vampire- though if he finds himself surprised his expression hardly offers anything other then indifference.

It is only Alexander's approach of her and the manner in which he leads her to the dance floor that so seems to displease the stallion. Alexander's affairs with women are hardly of interest to him, nor for that matter, Alexis' choices in men- it is simply the pair of them together he dislikes and purely for his own reasons. It would be unfortunate, he thinks, for Alexander to be made aware entirely of his own treatment of Alexis- at least to an extent. He had hardly harmed the girl in any physical sense. He had, however, reduced her to a sobbing mess on several occasions and it would be decidedly imprudent to irritate Alexander to much with that information. He requires the Hunter's assistance for some time yet and if what he knew of the man from the pages of history were proven true- had he even the faintest touch of genuine affection for the vixen any great distress on her part would surely be unwelcome. Indeed, Frost would hardly put it past Alexander to decide a set of spurs might be a welcome addition to any later training sessions were he to find out about the stallions previous interactions with the object of his affections.

The barest of frowns manages to cross his features as he rises smoothly from his position, leaving his staff against the far wall (he has already witnessed Alex's work with spears and has no desire to see it again), strolling smoothly across the floor and towards the dancing pair. One hand extends easily upward, no more then the lightest of touches against Alex's shoulder- gaining the attention of both now.

"Surely Your Highness won't mind my cutting in for a moment. Interesting outfit, Alexis."

It is worded as if it is no more then a tease, some playful interlude and yet his voice rarely manages to lose the vein of cold it always seems to hold, his own hand extend briefly to Alexis now, the barest touch of his power engaged to send a nip of cold at the girls skin- if only to remind her of what he expects here and now. It is decidedly easy to lead her a few strides from Alexander- though the stallion remains distinctly aware that he Hunter's gaze is hardly about to leave them as he easily finds the rhythm of the music. One hand rests easily on the young woman's hip, assuring a closeness he has never truly had with the woman and yet one that offers a certain degree of privacy- words offered softly to her now.

"What I told you before, at my house, still stands here and now. Alexander does not need to know about anything that went on within the West that night. If he asks, tell him what I told you and more so, he does not need to know about our previous meetings. You understand?"

It is not so much threat as gentle reminder to his student. Indeed, of late he had been almost....kind to the girl. His lips pull easily into a smile, as if the girl as said something mildly amusing, spinning her softly as the dance dictates, the stallion entirely capable in this regard even if he has not partaken of a dance in several years. His mother had passed on some skills outside the basic curriculum of his up-bringing. The end of the song sees him step back from her before leading her smoothly back to Tutankhamen.

"Returned entirely in the condition in which you loaned her to me."

His lip quirks, if only slightly, arms moving to fold across his chest now.

"I was not aware you two knew each other so well, Alexis and I have been working together for a week or so now on a few different matters. Alexander is my....."

There is a distinct pause, as if the snowy-haired stallion is left searching for an apt word to describe their relationship, content to offer one before Alexander can add his own.

"...friend."

It is the best he can do for now and perhaps not decidedly untrue. He does not dislike the Hunter after all- not entirely.
