The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian EllingtonI need to feel you again, feel my lips on your skin
for one night I could be him, no, I could be better
Death had become far too familiar to the vampire within the past few weeks. He often preferred to keep his brushes with his own annihilation to one every decade, if that. And yet, in the past fourteen days alone, Sebastian had nearly found himself obliterated by the sun, at the point of a stake from a hunter that refused to believe in love, and challenging his own maker for his feeding techniques. Suffice to say, it certainly had not been his week - much less his month. The vampire had nearly considered simply remaining insidbe for the rest of his evening, nestled warmly amongst the satin sheets regardless of the hunger that ate as his stomach and the need that tugged at loins. It took considerable effort to even coax himself to roll over to the edge of the bed, a soft breath leaving his lips. Eventually, Sebastian managed to drag himself from the confines of the bed, entirely tentative of whatever this night might bring him. With his luck, tonight he'd find himself sinking in a vat of liquid silver or something equally as morbid - not that such dejecting thoughts were in anyway typical of the usually suave male.
The man tugged his coat closer to his figure as he stepped out onto the cobblestone streets. He flicked up the collar of his jacket against still nippy spring air. Sebastian fully intended to stick to his usual haunts tonight, especially considering any such deviate had lately had such disastrous results. How hard was it to simply bed someone? Really? Was it too much to ask for? Sebastian stopped abruptly as he stepped out of the alleyway, bright red lights filling the street. A small frown marred his features as he eyed the large firetruck in the alleyway. It took several more steps out into the cobblestone walkways until the man saw the flames that licked his usual haunt, the crowds being pushed back by firefights before, all of a sudden, a loud bang caused the beginning of the congregation of patrons to shreak. Apparently the fire had only just found the alcohol, causing the flames to rapidly shoot towards the darkened sky. Of fucking course. Of course his favorite bar would burn down tonight of all nights - when all Sebastian sought for was the familiar.
Against the man's better judgement, he slowly approached the crowd of awestruck onlookers, staying both at the back and on the fridge as his crystalline gaze was cast towards the bright hues that flickered within the night. It certainly was a sight to behold, that even Sebastian couldn't deny. He glanced over at the man beside him, effortlessly able to detect the simple fact that he was not of the human variety. In fact, Sebastian had only just recently discovered the word of his species - the taste of fae the back of his tongue was enough to bring memories of the intoxicating Darien and the terrified Samantha. They had tasted entirely new to him - delicious, even. "Excuse me, do you know what happened here?" The vampire inquired, unaware of the fashion at which his voice had dropped to that same husky tone he used when trying to allure his prey to his bed. Maybe tonight didn't have to end so badly after all?
OOC: Sooo...it was either burn down the building or have him stand boredly in front of the tavern - so I chose the more exciting route!
