It was so quiet in the hours between dusk and dawn that she almost fell back asleep right there on the swing. In fact, her eyes had already started to fade closed and her head drooped against the chain of the swing when she heard this deafening screech. Immediately her eyes popped open and she leapt from the swing. "I'm awake, I'm awake!" She yelled as if to a teacher or something for falling asleep in class. She wiped at her face hurridly and then took in her surroundings. Okay, so she was at a playground and apparently she wasn't alone anymore. Her head snapped around when she heard another screech, this time louder and seemingly closer. Some....THING was lumbering forward like a godzilla thing in one of those japanese movies she had tried to watch the other night, but she couldn't read the subtitles and it irritated her that the peoples' mouths would move and THEN the voices would talk. Anywho, it was kind of like that. The thing even practically obliterated a picnic table when it lumbered right through it instead of stepping around. How lazy. She scowled, about to yell at it to stop all that loud screeching before it woke the neighborhood up but then she caught a new smell and her head snapped around again, this time eying a man who might have been standing there for who knows how long in a long trench coat. Now she was really puzzled, especially when he uttered something under his breath and then the THING charged after him like a crazed bull. She snapped her gaze back to him, hoping to see him high tailing it somewhere safe but instead the idiot decided to yell at her to run..and he called her GIRL. Oh, hell no. She felt her hands turning to leather as her nails became sharp claws and her eyes turned from brown to glowing blue as her teeth became fangs. Good thing she was already barefoot (she hated shoes) because her feet had done the same, the skin hardening as long claws protruded from her toes and she growled deep in her chest before eying the man again. "Speak for yourself, human." She taunted him before throwing herself after the THING. She rushed it and jumped for it's back, aiming to use her back claws to hook into its flesh and keep her on while she slashed at the back of its neck and head with her front claws. She wasn't planning on going anywhere when there was a fight to be had. She HAD to be in on this. |
