North

Within the Northern vicinity of the city, the wealthy gather behind meticulously trimmed hedges and high-class architecture. The pristine streets are paved with stone and the storefronts are brightly lit and inviting - for the right clientele. In the North, every establishment is eager to cater to the rich and the wealthy. Many such places are used to the sometimes peculiar requests of the otherworldly but here there is little that money cannot buy - whether it happens to be illegal or merely involves looking the other way. Vampires and Dark Hunters are often found upon these Northern streets, their long lives often contributing to their sizable wealth which allows them the luxuries that the North provides.

A visible scowl crossed the man's features at the very gesture of her wounded knee. Inwardly, Audette cringed at displeasing him so greatly and yet, it wasn't as if the young ballerina had particularly wanted to be dropped on the hard floors of her dance studio either. There was, she knew, little that could be done now. Rather, the French woman strove to focus upon the present moment as she made her way down towards the end of the alleyway - the door behind them unlikely to keep the vampire at bay for terribly long. With more distance between herself and the creature determined to murder her, along with some naive perception of safety with little more then a wall between her and it, Audette found herself turning her attention to a far more intriguing mystery then the undead beast after her. She watched as a sheepish look crossed Kit's features at the very query after the baby section she had unexpectedly ran into him in. The last thing she expected, however, was his sudden announcement that he was due to become a father! A warm simper blossomed to life across the ballerina's features as she offered her own teasing word of congratulations - one that she was certain he deserved with all the changes sure to be taking over his life with the impending arrival of his child.

Kit hardly seemed to dwell upon his status as a new father, however, the fae quickly turned his attention back upon her wounded knee. His concern was brushed off with a small flick of Audette's wrist as her head shook, her blonde locks shifting slightly. "Non, I have danced on much worse. This is but an annoyance." The warm chuckle upon his lips coaxed an easy giggle from the girl before her shoulders rose in a small shrug. "Ah, I seem to attract it! I wish it were not so." She led the way towards the edge of the alley, the girl pausing at the very entrance to glance down both sides of the street in hopes of spying something that might offer her some sanctuary. A loud thud of fists upon the door behind her caused Audette to glance backward, a small frown pulled at the corner of her features. "I fear this is my cue. Monsieur Kit, please head home when you can....I would not want you to get mixed up in my...affairs when your wife is surely waiting for you to come home." After all, the last thing Audette wanted to be responsible for is a child growing up without a father, much less the heartbreak of a woman losing her lover.
