A drink always sounds good but tonight I want to be out enjoying it in public. Usually I'm good to stay home and drink Bourbon all night but every once in a while, I like finding some good conversation and someone to share drinks with. It didn't take me long to find the right place. It's a little hole in the wall tavern but the drinks are good and the bartender is cute. I could turn this into my new favorite place. I'm enjoying my Paper Plane when a girl walks in. I wouldn't think much of a girl walking in but when I look her way, I can't look away. She's foreign, of oriental origin with that heart shaped face and exotic eyes. She reminds me so much of Chemi that it actually hurts for a minute. Chemi was a were I met not long after I came to Sacro. She was a shifter and she was something else, something different. I met her in a cemetary and that night was wild. Then I brought her to my house once she passed out and we continued our adventures in the shower when she woke up. She came by my house over the next few weeks but it always seemed to be during the day when I was sleeping. This irked me to no end but it brought on so much suspense that I couldn't wait to catch her alone again. I know that's what she wanted to happen. Needless to say, Chemi disappeared and I haven't seen her since. At first I have the sensation of not being able to breathe even though that should be the least of my concerns. Bu then I get a better look as she brings her hand up to her lips and I exhale in relief. Not Chemi. She inches over toward the corner of the bar and I can tell immediately that this isn't her usual kind fo hang out. I can also tell that she's a vampire. I can sense it in the way she looked around. I could practically read the hunger on her lips. But now she's hunkering down in a corner booth as if she wants to become invisible. With a sigh of defeat, I down my drink and stand up, heading over to where she sat. As I get close, I pull my hands up in a gesture to show I mean her no harm, flashing my best smile before I nod to the seat across from her. "May I?" After waiting for her response, I take a seat and look around for a minute to make sure no one's really paying attention before I lean forward a little and whisper, knowing she can hear me while no one else can. "You're not going to get anywhere hiding in a corner, you know." |
