Ashes to Ashes

Once more Sebastian utilized what advantage he could over the small vampire in gaining her attention. If one could only recognize Anna's moments of focus and learn to distract her then they controlled a great deal of her outbursts. Anna blinked back at Sebastian before glancing to her doll as if just realizing it was there. "Her name is Hannah. I got her from the store. I used to have more...I think." The doll had been one of her first acquisitions living in Sacrosanct. She had come across the dollshop and the owner had been too foolish to just give her the doll and had ended up paying with his life for it. Though she felt like there should be or had been more dolls, she couldn't remember, couldn't seem to access that part of her memory as she paused a moment to scrunch her face in thought. Either way the thought seemed to be dismissed as the present task of the coloring book re-entered her focus when Sebastian's power eased off its control and allowed Anna her own course of action.

Even while she colored, Anna was ever aware of Sebastian, whether from their simple proximity, his recent use of power, or the thread that connected them which she had just begun to realize. Anna was able to remain focused on her coloring perhaps only due to the fact that there was no other stimulus to take her attention and Sebastian's rooted spot. She had after all spent many of her nights searching for him to play and be around him and he was finally there which settled that restless searching. It became too much for even her will power when she was reminded of how long it had been since she fed, the hungry settling in her stomach and causing her predator senses to heighten. At least she had the decency to alert Sebastian to the change instead of going off seeking her own entertainment and food.

"Hopscotch on the plane?" Anna tilted her head slightly quizzically but followed the Englishman in sliding off her seat and into the aisle. It wasn't an overly large space but certainly more comfortable than any commercial plane would allow. Her crystal blue eyes were alight with intrigue and delight at the silken red threads that Sebastian arranged for the suggested game. "Did you do that?" For all Anna knew planes had the capability of having games built into them but it did seem to hold more of a signature of a power. She giggled, bouncing in and out of the squares as she sung, "Cinderella, dressed in yellow
Went upstairs to kiss a fellow
Made a mistake
Kissed a snake
How many docotrs
Did it take? 1, 2, 3, 4, 5-..." Anna didn't get to finish her song before the stewardess was making her way down the aisle to them. Of course at first she figured the stewardess herself was the meal until the mug of blood with a brightly colored corkscrew straw sticking out of it was placed on the table beside Anna's hopscotch. Immediately her brows furrowed, first confused then irritated as she narrowed her gaze at the mug. The copper-like scent invaded her nose letting her know it was blood ...but it was different. It smelled dead, no longer was there a heart circulating it through the body picking up all the smells and tastes that came from adrenaline. "I don't like that."

No, she didn't like that option one bit. Anna immediately turned her attention on the stewardess who was already on her way back down the aisle. The manipulation which had been keeping the little vampire so sedated had faded in order to produce the game allowing Anna's mood to react swiftly. The speed graced to their species had Anna on the heels of the woman in a moment but she didn't touch her. Instead the stewardess took a tumble by unseen force as Anna's power curled about her, freezing up her legs sending her down like a ton of bricks. The unfortunate woman's forehead cracked against the corner of the table rendering her unconscious with blood trickling from the wound. Anna's hands twitched at her sides as she stared down at the woman, pupils dilated as the fresh scent of blood invaded her nose before crouching down and yanking her forward intending to feed from her. It wasn't exactly as fun as playing with her prey but her hunger won out with fresh blood right there now taunting her.
