Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

in a moment we're lost in passion

dancing with this chemical attraction

It was entirely habitual, the way in which the vampire so kept his interests, and to a lesser extent his thoughts, to himself. There was no denying that his time at court surely contributed to such care chosen with such words and actions. He had always belonged to such lower social standings in court, despite his father's best attempt to so elevate their family from the nothing they had come from. Sebastian himself had played his part in such a goal though, with it too, the man had learned well that any actions on his part were not easily dismissed or forgotten by his peers of higher pedigrees. Such tendencies only continued with the individuals he so frequently replaced within his life, the man never affording them too much of his interest if only because he knew well they were but fleeting souls. Whatever interest so intrinsically made the man whom he was hardly mattered to them, and as of such, he too saw little reason to share anything beyond what was required of him or asked of him. Even then, Sebastian more often than not simply lied if only because it was easier when he left them in the midst of the night. It made him easier to forget when every facet of him was falsified.

And yet, Sebastian only just started to find those enigmatic mannerisms slowly falling around him with each further next time his lover so gave him. That extended time within the vampire's life only saw him warm further, loosening his tongue, and too, vaguely voicing those subtle hints of things that were of importance to him - the classical greats certainly one of them. A small simper slowly crossed his own lips at Dorian's proposed interest within those very works of art that so mystified him, his head bobbing ever so slightly. "If you continue to linger here, I am sure it would be inevitable." The vampire admitted softly, after all, such pieces often filled the sound system within his home or played at his very own fingertips. It was, perhaps, a benefit to owning a piece of property once more. There was finally a home for that piano he so cherished. In some ways, Sebastian had denied himself the very things that made up the fiber of his being with his vagabond and wanton actions. As it was, for now, the vampire wholly focused his attentions upon the dance he so led, letting it smoothly come to an end only to instead be replaced but something far more....enthusiastic of Dorian's own time.

The vampire had little reason to disbelieve his companion that this joyous dance was very much the highlight of those social circles within his own day - and likely too his own court still if that world remained as stationary and stagnant as his lover himself had. It was that genuineness that so saw Sebastian make the effort to mirror those prancing movements, as utterly ridiculous as they were. He was entirely assured he was making a complete fool of himself and yet, within those years he had been alive, he had perhaps done so on a frequent basis behind closed doors. Surely this was not much different. Weather or not he had succeeded in such steps by any means still remained entirely questionable for the vampire and yet, upon his efforts of such, he found he hardly minded the laughter that so poured richly from Dorian's lips. An all too light hearted grin so worked it's way upon his features at the sheer suggestion that this dance once had stretched as far as even his own home country, the vampire's head shaking slightly. "I have never been so happy to be so young." The teasing words perhaps mirrored his high spirits. A soft groan nearly left his lips at the idea of a whole room of such gaiety and yet, this too was perhaps a mock complaint. In truth, it was perhaps an honor that Dorian would consider so bringing him back to that palace and those courts he so ruled over.

Thankfully, it was that mention of their shared distaste for modern dancing that saw Sebastian mention the possibility of teaching his lover one of the more contemporary variety that he might so enjoy. It was true that the tale that left his lips of his own learning of it was decidedly unnecessary and yet, it was Sebastian's increasing relaxation around the Fae King that so brought such a story from his lips. He drew Dorian closer towards his form, the Fae's inquiring word momentarily saw him pause, "Yes, lifts. It is the act of lifting, or in your place, the act of being lifted." He was well aware of the brazen words that he so uttered in response and yet, he hardly knew how to explain this very aspect of those Latin dances without perhaps demonstrating them himself. Still, he was hardly sure his lover was so prepared for those routines that were included with such things, the vampire instead gingerly held Dorian's hand as he so demonstrated that basic foot works. He hardly had any doubt that his lover might so pick up such steps with relative ease, the vampire entirely pleased when, with some measure of patience and repetition, Dorian's figure so found that beat and sway that so personified the Salsa. It was with such ease he so twirled his lover before pulling the man back against him to continue those quick steps.

The vampire could hardly deny that carefree simper that so crossed his face at the simple enjoyment of their present activity. Although it was true that Sebastian often enjoyed any such thing he and Dorian so engaged within, it was an entirely different realm of happiness to introduce the man to those things he himself so loved. "I thought you mind." He responded softly in response, their pace quickened to that more accustomed to such a Salsa. Still, it was that soft brush against the vampire's lips that entirely caught his attention, a grin so readily crossing his features. His attention was more so upon his lover at the presence of that first kiss, well aware that Dorian's comfort in those few steps likely haled that more was to come. That brush across his cheek was entirely unsurprised and yet, Sebastian relished in that touch all the same. It was that familiar sound of Spanish on Dorian's lips, however, that caught Sebastian wholly off guard. Latin America, after all, was far from the King's throne room, the vampire entirely had assumed that such culture had never graced those walls enough for Dorian to pick up on such language and yet, that he had somehow managed to do so (no doubt from the neighboring country of Spain), brought a soft chuckle to his lips. "Si, creo que ha captado los conceptos básicos." (Yes, I think you've grasped the basics).

Slowly, Sebastian allowed those steps to come to an end, once more regaining that stillness as he stood before his companion. The fae's inquiry caused his head to shake ever so slightly in disagreement. "Ah, no, it is neither. I favor the Tango, admittedly, but you would never find it in your court and it would surely take more than a night to master. I could show you the basic steps I suppose, and a lift, since it so intrigues you." There was no denying that carefree tint to his English tones, his own attention turning towards their feet. "You will be opposite of my steps, of course." He stated simply, beginning to show his lover that basic 'L' shaped that was the foundation of that dance he so enjoyed.
