Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

It was certainly abnormal for the fennec fox to be so subdued - at least in Sacrosanct. Every aspect of her persona she was the feisty girl that so often brought a smile to Frost's face and concern to Kato's. But today she was exhausted, her body simply unable to hold up anything other than the raw, emotional girl that she was. She was aware of the way Nadya seemed pleased at her admittance that she knew she might lose in a fight, and yet the exhausted girl could hardly find it within herself to care. So Nadya might have been physically stronger, but Edie had no doubts that she could take her in a game of wits. Still, even in her exhausted state, she couldn't deny the satisfaction she got at watching the smirk slide right off her face as Edie mentioned that she knew about her and Frost. Still, it didn't show on her features as she shook her head. "He told me about the Hunter, and a little bit of what happened there. He told me that you healed him. I didn't get a lot of details. He was a bit touch and go there for a bit." She gave a tiny smile, looking at the girl. "He did tell me that I'd look sexy with neon green hair. I thought about getting a wig to amuse him." The young woman had no idea the full extent of how exactly Nadya had treated to the wounds of her Alpha, and she'd merely assumed her power was like the girl's own.

Still, Edie's emotions seemed to get the best of her as the tears clouded within her eyes. There was something about the way that Nadya looked her in the eye that made the Beta squirm, her words coming out shakily. Even though she knew that Frost was fine, that he was in his bed resting, she still couldn't help but be terrified of that feeling of losing him. She knew it was bothering Kato that she had to constantly be within feet of Frost, and yet she couldn't help it. The idea of losing him was paralyzing to her, and in those rare moments when Kato wasn't hovering near her, she'd press herself into the bathroom and cry into the towel in the hope that no one would hear her. It was exhaustion, she told herself. That, or the love she had for her new life here was making her weak. When Nadya spoke of her brother, Edie's eyes flicked to her, though she didn't say anything.

Instead, those tears spilled down her cheeks and stole away any words that the girl had left. She was aware of just how weak she must have appeared to the other woman. She knew Nadya thought so incredibly low of her and her skills, and here she was looking even more weak and pathetic in front of the woman. She swallowed as she listened to Nadya speaking of how it would have been a fair fight, and she let out a tough breath. "You..." She started, though she had no idea how to finish the sentence. She didn't want to go into the emotions that the duo clearly held for each other. She knew Frost had feelings for Nadya more so than simply wanting her for her power, even if he wasn't ready to admit that exactly. Clearly, Nadya wasn't either, and those feelings in the pit of her stomach kept her from talking about it now. The idea of hearing Nadya confirm her feelings made the girl sick. Instead, she merely gasped out a quiet 'thank you' to the woman.

The way her companion's voice dropped to that quiet tone to inquire about how the man was. "He's... he acts stronger than he is. But he's resting. He's getting that energy back. I tried to heal as much as I could - what you couldn't, of course. But even I can replace blood. He lost so much. He's lucky to be alive." Her voice was barely above a whisper as she spoke, lifting the edge of her jacket up to wipe the tears from her eyes. She was so tired, so exhausted. Her emotions were raw and exposed, and it would be so easy to just curl up on the ground and sleep forever. "I've felt so terrible. He was sitting there alone and hurt and I didn't know. I didn't know how to help him or even get to him. I... what kind of Beta am I if I could let that happen to him..." She shook her head. "You've been right about me this whole time, I guess." She tugged a hand through the dark locks of hers, finally shaking her head at the woman's last comment. "I won't say anything." She promised, letting out a sigh. Those emerald eyes of hers fell on Nadya once more, her face entirely serious.

"Nadya, do you love him like he loves you? Because he loves you so much. He would burn down the world for you," She said softly, crossing her arms across her chest. "Don't break his heart, Nadya. I mean it. He looks tough, but his heart is such a fragile thing when it comes to you."
