Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
The Ripper
William Jack Holloway
There was something so comforting about having the blonde witch within his arms, even though the girl was relatively a stranger to him still. He found himself caring about the tiny girl, and now that he had an inkling of what she had been through, he was filled with the fierce need to protect Vhalla. To keep her safe from ever being hurt again. It was a foolish notion, and yet the man felt it so deeply. He didn't hesitate as he dipped his head in to catch her lips within his, quite thrilled with the way the girl seemed to melt within his arms. Still, he refused to let them get caught up in those heated moments again. No, it was time to guide her back to the table and back to the gentler notions of their date. The man was certainly not immune to the aromas of that food that filled the air, and as such he was more than willing to persuade her back into those chairs.
At the notion that he still had a long way to go as far as wooing her, the man merely smirked. "Well, fortunately for you, I'm a patient man." He chuckled as he helped her settle into that chair. Once his hand was tangled within hers, it was too easy to inquire about just what it was they were about to eat. The Hunter couldn't deny the way that it thrilled him to see her light up so at the question. Though he wanted to continue to hold her hand, he released hers to watch her gesture to the plates, his eyes following readily to soak up the information.
He understood a few of the dishes, though they were far more complex than anything that he would have seen within the dining halls of his London youth. Since then, he'd found that his taste for such exquisite dishes was lacking - after all, what fun was it to eat like that when there was no one to share it with? But he couldn't deny the way that his mouth was watering as he focused his eyes on dish after dish. The roasted game hen being what the man had his eye on until the blonde dug her fork into the piece of cake and he got to witness that hum of delight from the girl. It was the kind of noise that drew him in immediately, and with a chuckle, he picked up his fork.
"Family style?" He questioned, clearly unfamiliar with the term. In his day, the meals were served to him in that elaborate way of courses and carefully put together plates that looked more like art than a meal. The concept of sharing a plate with her was unfamiliar, and yet one that he wasn't entirely opposed to. At least he wasn't until she scooped up even more of that delectable dessert into her mouth. "Hey now," He wrinkled his nose as he reached out, his fork blocking hers from going in for another bite. "Save some for me, kitten." He chuckled, though his fork cut into a piece of that cake. Instead of raising it to his own lips, he put the piece of chocolate cake to her own lips, his mouth quirking up in amusement. "Though it is hard to want to eat it myself when I know it brings you such pleasure."
The question that she poised, however, saw the man pause. With his fork poised in midair, the man's gaze dropped downward and to study the table cloth. It was an innocent question, and yet one that William was still entirely struggling with. After two hundred years on the run, it was hard to imagine that yes, this would be his home. Because his home revolved around the one being that he'd thought he'd lost, the one being who mattered to him more than anyone else in the entire universe. Sebastian. It didn't seem right to bring him up on the date, at least not yet, and yet there was no way to explain how he had come to the decision to stop running without explaining the vampire that he was, without a doubt, in love with.
"Yes," William said finally, biting his lower lip out of nervousness. "I am staying. It's... complicated... though."
But darling -- it's only human nature.
